  1. Added today after two weeks of discussions with a fellow local collector.
  2. Added a second copy today. While its lower grade than my raw, my sense is it's got a lot of climb left in it, and I did not want to miss an affordable pick-up. Maybe I just have DT's from watching HOS 92 accelerate so rapidly
  3. Picked this up from a fellow collector today. Already have a nicer raw one, but it seems to me the train is rapidly leaving the station on this book, even in lower grades, so I took the opportunity.

  5. Thx; I completely agree! Cover itself is pretty cool too. As to the citation, it's there, 50's-style, but intent is clear. This and the First Love 13 I posted last week were the only PCR keys he had, but there are many PCR that are rare sitting there, and all are sharp like this or better.
  6. Went back today to the place where I got the First Love #13 last week, and...
  7. Went back today to the place where I found the First Love #13 last week, and...
  8. My bad, but wrong metro, right idea Congrats all the more; amazing in-store finds. I did notice the color on the EC; I've just wanted a 247 for so long it kind of blew me away. They're so rarely flat and clean.
  9. Death merchants of the air to superheroes riding kites
  10. Is there a backstory? I'm thinking you didn't just pluck them off the wall of a little LCS. (Though you are in NYC metro, no?) So maybe
  11. Boy, it's tough to pare down as I added nothing like some of the monstrous standouts shown here, but perhaps a very solid, comparable top few. Out of them, I keep coming back to these three:
  12. It's a great one -- first Pussycats, which means first Valerie (1st black character in Archie comics). Congrats!
  13. Ok, this has been the offer since I first posted this thread as a one-lot offer: 31 Coverless readers (or marriage eligibles) for (Was $295, shipped ) $175 shipped U.S. In a medium priority flat rate box. Now, due to popular demand I am offering the lot priced individually, for those who might prefer to pick it apart. For individual (less than entire lot) purchases, shipping (U.S. Only) will be $5 for one or two books; actual thereafter. Again, I can fit the whole stack of 31 in a medium priority flat rate box ($13.60) so that kind of gives us a shipping range. All other rules are the same whether you buy some or all. As a reminder, all are Coverless. Golden Age: All-American Comics #3 (I think it's fair to say this is truly rare) $45 Batman #84 (Catwoman key) $40 SOLD! Also, I remain open to PMs, whether you want one or two, the whole thing, or a small lot of your own making. Thanks for looking!
  14. In Silver Age, it was this OO collection for me; some of you now have some of the pieces. I kept the DD1, TOS52 and a couple others (Thor/Dr Strange crossovers,,etc) They were characterized by his initials "M.R." and prominent yet unobtrusive date stamps (see last two,pix for examples of each.)
