  1. I just counted — 60 more books coming to the thread, only one definite keeper among them, so most will be available.
  2. Sold the ducks, have a couple others not shot. But these pix are handy.
  3. I didn’t see it in your awesome pic, but you probably have it. But just in case… Josie #45 is the first black character in Archie Comics, Valerie Smith of the Pussycats. Congrats on an amazing feat, there are some tough books there for sure!
  4. Correct, it’s a wrap for tonight, as I need to shoot more of the books.
  5. That’s it for tonight, many more still to come. Tomorrow I will shoot Secrets of Love & Marriage, Secrets of Young Brides, Sue and Sally Smith Flying Nurses, maybe more too. Thanks everyone; I hope it’s enjoyable!
  6. SOLD! Romantic Story #49 VG with oil transfer stains inside covers. $10
  7. I have eight more shot — Romantic Story. Then it’s back to photographing. Do we want that title now, or tomorrow?
  8. SOLD! Romantic Secrets #37 — probably a legit VF- if the degree of inside tanning doesn’t hold it back. 2x signed. $50
  9. If it helps, the 34 is splitting to the first staple. It looks better straight-on. And I want to solve the initialing myth, and correct GCD for Joe’s legacy if means he did all four stories. Fun Joe fact — the comic book work he said he was most proud of is Dell’s Life of the Beatles, which he penciled and inked.
  10. I’ve only kept two so far! (One more in the back of the box, I think.)
  11. Romantic Secrets #35 — looks VF- at first glance, but color breaking crease lower left, across her forearm, and that inside cover tanning — probably from storage conditions. (This one was unbagged, unboarded, as many were.) $40
  12. Romantic Secrets #34 — NFS lower grade, but the famed overdose issue. Not signed, but I see JS initials in the lower right corner of the first page of all four stories — Joe’s son, I’d guess, but I want ascertain. GCD has Alascia on the first story, with a question mark. If it’s an all-Joe book, I want to clear it up.
