I don't see how inviting scrutiny, by government/an IRS auditor, or anyone, of the money involved and by publicly stating something other than what gets reported on the relevant tax forms is advantageous for the seller, or why he would participate in the fraud. I guess its possible people who aren't very bright were behind all this. but it just doesn't seem likely. Or maybe there are ways to bury the real information and this sort of proposed scheme has some benefit I'm not seeing.
What future sales are they maximizing, the dozens of other Superman #1s they have? I love a good conspiracy theory, but maybe it just took this long for CGC to put it on the front page because they did their due diligence in verifying it was a real sale and that took time?
Any one know the sales history of this particular book? Haven't been able to find it online, but admittedly, haven't looked too hard.

Clink will never move forward unless they post back covers to all their books. If I see something I’m interested in, I contact them in advance for a back scan (having learned this the hard way). The problem with this is you cannot peruse their auction and throw down a last minute bid without taking your chances. I broke my own rule by bidding on something last minute that I thought was going lowlooks good, right? and when the book arrived, I got this
Never again!!
How on earth was this a 7.5?

My 2c, to be competitive/better:
- Stop running the website as a hobby.
- Get people working for ComicLink that are responsive. Ignoring emails is rude.
- Re-design the old, fugly website.
- Add auction archives.
- Promote that employees are not consigning, bidding on, shilling lots. As opposed to some peer sites that will remain nameless, ComicLink believes in fairness for the bidder/buyer and the health of the hobby.
- Stop letting consignors post to the exchange just to advertise their art. When you request to buy it, it is mysteriously not available. One dealer in particular stands out.
- Take ACH payments, like peers do.
- Add features features features.
Etc.

I think it is a little different in the OA space as Jim personally collects art himself so he is actively buying pieces for his personal collection.
I have read and watched all the pieces to which you referred above previously, but I do think there is a difference in this particular example.
What is the difference? Jim buys coins and comics too.
What is the difference in this particular example?
I think it is a huge conflict of interest and I've heard he buys a lot of lots. He can do the exact same things that were seen in coins...

Hi all. Anyone know the folks at Cadence Comic Art?
I reserved/requested to purchase 12-15 pieces in December, coinciding with their holiday sale. Owner responded, said they will confirm they have the pieces and get back to me as soon as possible. Haven't heard a thing since.
So, I've emailed them to regularly check in, using my work and personal email addresses, I messaged them on their website, and messaged them via Facebook.
No response.
I've asked for a courtesy reply. Crickets.
I've heard they are doing a show in Richmond near term. So it appears all systems go.
Any help? Any ideas? I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but this is completely unprofessional.
