  1. Going into 2018, I made a commitment to finally own two of my grail books... an AF15 and and ASM1 before they got out of reach. After lots of selling and saving... today, on July 18th, I achieved my goal. “Yo, Adrian! I did it!!”
  2. My club credentials arrived today!!!! I’m truly fortunate to have been able to pay off my first ever copy much sooner than expected. I’ll never forget the feeling of opening the mail and holding this beauty in my hands for the first time. I’ll be forever grateful to @Ricksneatstuff for selling to me, allowing me to become this clubs newest member
  3. The biggest of kudos to Rick for making my grail dreams come true! He sold me a gorgeous (and my first) AF15 and allowed me to do 5 month time payments which I was able to actually complete in less than a month. The communication was great and he shipped right away after receiving the last payment. Packaging was excellent and the book arrived safely overnight looking even more beautiful than the pictures. I couldn't be happier with the transaction. Thank you again for everything
  4. Amazing books, Rick! GLWTS!! Wish I had more money to give you for the ASM14
  5. Congrats, wow does that ever present well for the grade! Beautiful copy!
  6. I was saying I think the transaction had to go down that way because eBay shows that it sold for the BIN price of $125k (not a best offer) which is a ridiculously high number. I know that with the listing title and the listing itself being for 3 books that GPA wouldn’t pick it up. I just meant in general these eBay direct offers through messages are another way that inaccurate sold prices can be reported to GPA, which is why (even though it’s a great resource) it isn’t an exact measure of FMV
  7. I'm thinking this 9.9 set listing had to be sold through a direct offer which is done through ebay messages. Seems ridiculously high. When a book is sold through a direct offer that the seller makes to the buyer (lower than the BIN) via their message correspondence, the completed listing still reflects that the book sold for the BIN price. eBay sold listings will look like the buyer paid the BIN price and that’s what is reported to GPA. Just another way GPA gets manipulated...
  8. well if it makes your buddy feel any better, I bid as high as I did (was willing to go to $4,500) at the time because I viewed the book as my keeper copy. I still have it and have no plans to sell it despite receiving some crazy offers. "FMV" during a fluid surge like this is really impossible to gauge. It seems as if everyone just keeps tacking on $500 to the latest high sale and within a couple of weeks someone pays it and sets a new high. FMV today for a 9.0 will be different next week (or maybe even tomorrow)...
  9. This is amazing, Mike! I remember you telling me about your 9.0-9.8 set last year when you were looking for a 9.6. Seeing this now in a picture is just awesome! Congrats on owning all of these beautiful NM range Newsstands
  10. I bought my 9.2 keeper copy on 10/28/17 for $4,350. I went $300 over the 90-day GPA average at the time bc it had WP with great centering and eye appeal. A little over 8 months later and a 9.2 goes for $6,800 yesterday. This surge is just WW...
  11. Just got my keeper copy back from being reholdered
  12. Wow...that is one gorgeous raw copy, congrats!
  13. Christian bought a 4-figure SA key from me and the transaction was great. He paid immediately and was friendly and easy to communicate with. I would do business with him again any time. Would definitely recommend him to other boardies!.
  14. Requests like these belong specifically (and exclusively) in the “Comics Market - Want To Buy!” section.
