  1. No just the CT removal on the bottom staple of the front cover and the couple of glue spots removed. The BC is immaculate. Probably the nicest 6.0 you'll ever see now
  2. Upgraded my 5.5 WP copy to this gorgeous 6.0 WP. It used to be an 8.0 WP restored but had CT removed around the bottom staple and a couple of spots of dried glue removed (one on Johnny Storm's pants and the other just above one of the back buildings).

  6. No where in my post did I say he should feel bad or concern himself about what this sale does to the market. I was simply stating facts and the reality of the situation. For the record I don't think he should care, I certainly don't, I've overpaid for just about every book I own. I also realize it's not his fault and it takes two to drive up the price of an auction, but I'm still allowed to feel bad for people that are being priced out from buying big books because of sales like this. It's his right to pay whatever he wants for a book, just as it's my right to shake my head.
  7. While your point is well taken that not all copies within grade are created equal, your example is an extreme case. Sure I'd rather have your 0.5 over that particular 2.0. But there are also an abundance of 2.0 copies out there that I'd rather have over your 0.5. Brian's point was that for the same amount of money (and a little patience or expanding your search beyond Heritage) you could have found a well presenting complete copy 2.0. But instead you severely overpaid and made it that much harder for other people to get a copy in this current market climate of "last sale = going rate". That being said, I do wish you a sincere congratulations as I am happy for you (and anyone) fortunate enough to be able to buy my favorite book in the entire hobby. I just feel for those that are being priced out from buying because of sales like this.
  8. 6 on the 6th bumping this thread back to the front page
  9. UPDATE: Would consider a partial trade involving an Ultimate Fallout 4 CGC 9.8 First Print plus $1,750 PayPal. PM me.
  10. For sale is the following: Incredible Hulk #180 1st Wolverine (Cameo) Grade: 9.0 VF/NM Page Quality: WHITE Cert. # 383603001 Last 9.0 Sale = $3,605 (Miscut copy with abnormally thick top border). Before you message me quoting this sale as the going rate for the grade, the last five 8.5 sales average out to $3,500 with the last sale being $4,200. I won’t sell for less than that sale. I’ve priced this 9.0 between that last 8.5 sale ($4,200) and the last 9.2 sale ($5,000) which I believe to be a fair price. ASKING PRICE: $4,600 Additionally (and this has no bearing on my pricing), there are three blue label copies on eBay in either grade 8.5 or 9.0 and the lowest ask is $5,050. UPDATE: Would consider a partial trade involving an Ultimate Fallout 4 CGC 9.8 1st Print and $1,750 PayPal. Here are the when purchasing: Buyers in US Only for this listing No Hall of Shame or Probation List Members First unconditional IN THE THREAD gets the book. Payment due within 3 days of sale. 11. Not saying that the person didn't get a deal, but that's your experience. Every book I've sent to CGC for crossover they've all come back the same grade or lower
  12. I think I got lucky with the wrap on my #9. Seems like the consequence of that is the CCA stamp being up against the right edge.
  13. I believe the AF15 7.0 auction referenced above is on Comicconnect, not Comiclink. CL always has their auction dates listed where as CC are usually TBD. Assuming I’m right, the 7.0 is very nice but in no way an 8.5-9.0. I think it’s graded accurately. Anyway here is a pic of the AF15 7.0 that will be on CC sometime in the near future:
  14. I still don't have a 5.0 WP, so I may still want yours if that's indeed what it grades at To sum up what @Math Teacher was explaining, here is a general rundown of the complex deal/trade I just completed: Found an ASM #7 CGC 4.5 WP (pressing candidate). Owner would not sell directly, and would only trade for a 5.0/5.5 OWW or better copy. Joe had a 5.0 OWW copy that would fit the 4.5 WP owners criteria, but Joe would not sell directly either, but wanted an upgrade as well. Found a 6.0 OWW copy, bought it, and traded it to Joe for his 5.0 OWW copy. Now I just traded the 5.0 OWW copy for the 4.5 WP copy that will be arriving Friday. Next stop for the 4.5 WP is to a press and then to CGC for Express tier grading. it bumps to a 5.0 WP and completes my run. If it doesn't hit on the 5.0 WP I'll be bothering @BoogieWoogie for their copy in 6 months if one doesn't pop up sooner
