  1. Geez, sounds like it was one of those days in the eBay blocked user thread!
  2. Worked out a package deal with Gene and everything went great. Gene went out of his way to make sure that I was comfortable with the grades by sending extra photos when needed, his packaging was rock solid, and his shipping price was exact. I would deal with this guy at any time.
  3. So yeah, pretty much know what everyone's Friday night is looking like...
  4. Probably right. I like it this way better, more excitement.
  5. Every time there's a lull I think the wife's knife reached the throat
  6. I totally thought this was going to be about the restaurant
  7. Now that you say it, the modern Chinatown seems to be the universities. I was there the other day and at moments all I could here was Chinese. Pretty neat that they come all the ay here for university, seems over the top though.
  8. By about mid July we thaw out enough to bump that up to 3 every couple of days so it all evens out in the end
  9. Impressive. There is an older gentleman at my IPMS club the brush paints large ships and I can never tell either. It really is an art. I on the other hand 'cheat' with an airbrush. I do miss the brush painting days occasionally though because the starting and stopping kills me in some projects. The reason I have never really enjoyed building planes, is because of the canopy, I don't know how you guys do it! I don't frequent Hyperscale, I am probably the only modeller that does not! I do not contribute much and usually just lurk, but I am on http://www.militarymodelling.com/forums/latest_posts.asp (I enjoy the magazine). Beautiful! You're on the home stretch haha. That yellow band must be enamel, yah? God I hate yellow, toughest colour out there. Do you ever set your planes into a diorama or base? Happy modelling, JF
  10. Classic! Things seem to run down hill she was 'greasing' him and so on down the line to you haha
  11. The Pic-A-Pop bottles!! Times were good back then a few empty, dirty bottles equaled comics. How many bottles would you have to gather today for a new comic? Thee goes my image of Ottawa as a utopia There are some 'rough patches' in WPG, but it is like anywhere else, you only find yourself in trouble if you're doing stupid things. Have you seen any MPs turning tricks, shooting dope or smoking rock? Because I would only suspect that type of behaviour from them not the good citizens of OTT!
  12. memories... It's cool that you seek the comics with the stamp ...porcupine48 pedigree? haha I used to have to bike to town on a gravel road in rural MB to get comics and I'd pick up beer bottles along the way to return for 10 cents each and hopefully get a an extra. One thing that sticks out like a sore thumb in your post for me though is: rough neighbourhood in Ottawa?! I have only been once, but certainly don't have that image of the city. I'm in my Winterpeg bubble
  13. In WPG, it is merely a block or two. I don;t know if it really counts...
  14. Your titles always draw me in Rick! Nice books, GLWTS!
