Thanks for all the imput! This is what i needed. I think I'm gonna get the MM4 due to it not being found in high grade often. There are plenty of ASM 238's, maybe not with the tatoos included but I see more of them than the MM4. The MM is in grade worthy condition and a clean and press may imrove it a little bit more.

So, I have an opportunity to buy an Amazing Spiderman 238 with tattoos in about 9.0 condition for $80. Or a Mister Miracle 4 in about 8.0-8.5 possibly a 9.0 for $60. Which book has more upside potential and appreciation? My gut tells me to buy the ASM 238. How much can this book grow? Is the Hobgoblin a character with potential or is he peaking now? Same goes for MM 4, will the book continue to grow with the release of the New Gods movie or is it also topping out with the news of the movie? Is Big Barda a more impoetant character than Hobgoblin? I know that Spider-man is here to stay and one of the biggest characters in all of comics. I can't say the same for MM or Big Barda, this series has been relatively cheap since its arrival. So if any of you could only buy one book, which would it be and why? How far do you think either can go in regards to popularity and value? Thank you all in advance for any input!

Is there any promo codes floating around which will allow me to get a comic auction catalouge? I love the quality of them and would like to have at least one to look through. Yes, both staples are frimly attatched and free from rust. A few people have commented in the bronze age spideys thread and I didn't want to get that one off topic so I started this one. The spine is very nice front and back. The back cover left edge doesn't have any chipping, it may be the light reflection. The stain on bottom right is visible for 1 page going in front and back, it doesn't go all the way through. I was just curious about a ballpark grade, not trying to ruffle any feathers. I appreciate all the input so far!!

You guys think the stain will drop it all the way to a 4.0 possibly?? Aside from the stain, its in really nice shape. Thats sad if it falls all that way. On the other hand, im not into it for that much money so I guess its ok. Just kind of a bummer.

I just started a topic in the "can you spare a grade" thread. Thanks for the replies here. I figured the stain would knock it down a bit, its only visible on front and back cover and 1 page in. Still, this is a book I've always wanted and I got it at a price that I'll never find again. Aside from the stain, it is in beautiful shape for its age. I may go ahead and clean and press it and submit for grading because I seriously doubt i'll ever get rid of it.

Picked this up today with a few other Bronze books. This book would drastically improve with a clean and press.

Also snagged this copy along with the 129. It's lower grade but I'm happy to have it!!

I picked this copy up today and was totally stoked to get it!! I'd like to get it cleaned and pressed and then graded. I'm terrible at trying to guess what it would grade at but, it's a very nice copy. Finally a member of the ASM 129 club!

Congrats on the #38!! It is definitely more sought after than the early issues due to the gap and the low print runs, as others have mentioned. I've been looking for 38 myself as i have 23-37 and a few early issues. Im more concerned with finding the last issue in High Grade. It seems like these books in this trade paperback style format are either thrashed or in really good condition. $5.00 is a hell of a deal, i'm super jealous!!!

Congrats!! My thought though, is why doesn't everyone who ships comics, ship them in a cardboard mailer? i understand the people who sell one or two books occasionally but, the other guys have no excuse. You can buy the book boxes at Office Depot for around $7 for 4. I'll stop before I go on a rant but, this just irks me to no end. Sorry for interrupting the thread, i'm glad the book wasn't thrashed!!

Opinion on Tales from the Crypt 20 Here is one of a few books I picked up on Wednesday and I would like your opinion as to it's grade. I can post more pics if need be. Any and all replies will be welcomed and I Thank You for your time! The cover is attatched but barely and all pages are present, so it is a complete book. I would grade this one and the other book I posted as Thrashed but CGC does not have that category! Have a look!

Opinion on CRYPT of TERROR 19 I picked up 5 GA books for a few bucks yesterday. I didn't think they would be worth anything, I just like 10cent GA books. This book is complete with all pages and the cover is attatched. The front and back covers are missing some of the page but, the interior is actually very pretty. Off-white pages and bright colors. Please give me your opinions on what this would grade. Any info would be appreciated, I also have the next book which is Tales from the Crypt 20 and it's in a little bit better shape. I may post it in another thread for consideration. Thank you all for your time!
