  1. I love the old adventure themed books. If only I was made of money...
  2. Great copy! I wonder if Schomburg meant this to be a decapitation cover? The 2nd guy Toro is flying through; his head looks a little far away from his body to me.
  3. These books are just insanely cool! I love the old Action covers and I may have to start snagging some of them!
  4. Awesome and congrats, what a rush to own such a nice copy. Thanks!
  5. Best cover of the run. Congrats! +1 Thanks fellas. Any guesses on cover artist? GDC says Schomburg? Schomburg gets my vote - those evil Nazis are definitely drawn Schomburg. +1
  6. Outstanding! My wife is telling me to send it into CGC this week; I keep pulling the book out and flipping through it. Read it(carefully) before you slab it. I know. I have a feeling I better send it off to be slabbed.
  7. Great cover and you have to love the current prices on the Miss Furys!
  8. WOW !! +1 Congrats I can certainly see why you're excited!! very nice example of one of the all time classics
  9. Posting this everywhere since I can't control my excitement! White pages and unrestored!
  10. Congratulations... I covet that book Book presents VERY well, great cover, a lot of history behind it and as much as I want a copy myself, that should become part of your 'black hole' collection to save and pass along when you are ready. Thank you! I truly hope that I maintain the financial wherewithal to keep this book so that my nieces and nephews can fight over it once I'm gone. A very cool book that has to rank among the best of the best from the GA. 100% agree! This cover always ranks in the top 3 of my favorite Schomburg covers.

  13. Got a few things at comic-con BunkyBrian sold me this: Saw Sergio Aragones and supported the CBLDF: Found a couple of nice Daredevils I was missing at the World Wide booth: And last, certainly not lease, a GRAIL! from Metro!
  14. Got back from comic-con with these Thanks to BunkyBrian for this one!
  15. Bought it from Metro yesterday. I was negotiating for a stack of GA when I saw it on the wall and it was love when I pulled it out of the sleeve. It has really nice gloss and white pages. Metro graded it a 7.5 and I agree. Its main problem is some tearing at the staple on the back cover. The gloss and pages on this are the nicest I have ever seen on a Timely and I own a few white pagers. P.S. I love my wife. She didn't even bat an eye when I announced that I wanted this book instead of the stack of GA we had spent the previous 30 minutes talking about.
  16. I just got back from Comic-Con and boy is my wallet lighter! I gots me a white paged unrestored GRAIL! :whee::whee: :whee::whee: :whee::whee: :whee::whee: :whee::whee: :whee::whee: :whee::whee: :whee::whee: :whee::whee: :whee::whee: :whee::whee: :whee::whee: :whee::whee: :whee::whee: :whee::whee: :whee::whee: :whee::whee: :whee::whee:
  17. Bethlehem markings are very cool. I love old store stamps and owner marks.
