  1. Awesome book! Octopi are tough though; arrow to the head and still fighting! That would be an arrow in the mantle. The brain is lower, behind the eyes. He might have hit the gonad however. Maybe a teensy bit more than I wanted to know about Aquaman and his pal. Jack

I bought it as a cgc 1.8 ext amatuer resto and then monkeyed it up I'll even double, heck triple, the ext 1.8 price you paid for it! 45k = sold! You paid $15,000 for an ext restored 1.8? You really do pay dollars on the penny!

  7. Ok, the tide of Timelys has subsided enough for me to toss one of my issues into the mix!
  8. This is from a few years ago in the thread but WOW! I love old Mickey Mouse and I'd never seen strips like these. Thought I'd give these strips a bump again!
  9. That's a first. I had never seen remarks on label stating that a book was "pressed." I'd seen a few at the very beginning of CGC but my understanding is that a certain Oklahoma City collector/investor/lawyer threatened holy {SPOON} when he sent in a large batch of comics that came back PLOD pressed and that was the end of the pressed designation. As always on rumors your milage may vary. Now I wonder who that might be... Naw, couldn't be... ...but if by the most unlikely of coincidences this old photo is of the gentleman to whom you're referring, then I'm sure that his pressing objections to the PLOD label was a selfless act that had our community's best interest at heart. ...Ummm, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! (thumbs u

  14. Any idea why a commerce association would put their seal on it? Makes it quite unique!
