  1. Me too, I bought my first Golden Age WDC&S issue, and I’m waiting for it. Contains one of my favorite stories ever, "Three dirty little ducks"… Welcome to the Barks club! It's pure gold in here!
  2. For me, owning any Timely in 9.4, be it blue, green, or purple label, would be Finding one with an almost meaningless defect like loose centerfold would be even better because, I would hope, it would be cheaper! P.S. That qualified Batman is incredible! Although not a Timely.
  3. That is a beautiful page and one I would dearly love to have! Thanks for sharing! Oh, and by the way, the USA #7 is pretty sweet too!
  4. I've been keeping quiet lately due to the demands of life but this certainly warrants a WTTBs and, please, keep posting!
  5. If you are cracking these and reading them, you are my hero! (thumbs u
  6. Correct! It came out late 1952/early 1953.
  7. Thanks! Through the slab, at the correct angle, you can see a book length crease on the bottom edge. Doesn't break color and it is extremely light but it is there. I bet it could be pressed out and the book would be a 7.5/8.0. Nicest looking "Fine" I've ever seen!
  8. Just bought this because it looks far better than the grade. The red just pops and the back cover looks much whiter than the scan.
  9. Flame-thrower goodness! (thumbs u "OK, Tubby, here's the plan. We're gonna tie a rope around your ankles and lower you down in front of the enemy's cave...while you're holding a bomb. I mean, what could go wrong?" I'm thinking that Tubby had a son named "Flounder". (Yes, I know its an obscure reference. Anybody get it?)
  10. I have never owned either of those magnificent books! P.S. Timely, that San Francisco copy is :cloud9. I've only owned one pedigreed Timely, D Copy Daring #11, and I sold it!
  11. Good god, man! I'm glad my collecting interests are somewhere else!
  12. All of these books look like the grade and quality I love to buy! Plus, who doesn't love damsels threatened by hooded Nazis?
  13. So if mighty mouse is always beating up cats why are there two in the audience all excited? Beautiful book!
