  1. Totally agree with most of this. I always loved the over-sized characters which were done to catch the eye of the pedestrian wondering past the newsstand plus drive home the point that these are the heroes! Bigger, cooler, and more awesome, in the literal sense of the word, than any of the nasty Nazis they are fighting. Timely, and Schomburg, played with a lot of cover layout styles to catch the eye and the over-sized characters are just another artistic element. Love them!
  2. What does "vertically integrated real estate company" mean besides possible pyramid scheme? And don't tell me to read his book!
  3. I'll toss these out here as they are the only Timelys in my collection that can even vaguely hold their own to the others posted.
  4. This is lifted directly from Heritage's Terms of Service. Shill bidding is legal in Texas. 21. The Auctioneer, its affiliates, or their employees consign items to be sold in the Auction, and may bid on those lots or any other lots. Auctioneer or affiliates expressly reserve the right to modify any such bids at any time prior to the hammer based upon data made known to the Auctioneer or its affiliates. The Auctioneer may extend advances, guarantees, or loans to certain consignors. Full Terms and Conditions at Heritage's site
  5. Yet 1 more step closer to completing the run!
  6. Yes but remember that all their books are priced towards there code word sales. I've found some good accurately graded books there but only bought when they were on sale for 60% off. Their cabinets are fun to browse just to see the tons of STUFF they have.
  7. I'd say a 2.0 or 2.5. Great book but wrong area!
  8. Many of the people on this board are academics with MBAs.
  9. RMA is absolutely correct. Take a look at China. They have embraced their version of Capitalism and, as a result, have created the largest middle class in history. Almost none of the money used by the Chinese to fund this incredible middle class rise existed before the economic programs, including the Chinese stock market, were implemented. In the last 25 years, the Chinese people have empowered dozens of Bill Gates and, as a result, have been lifted up through trickle down economics. It's awesome and at a certain level, not politics but economics.
  10. I will! I'll be there on Saturday; hopefully when the doors open.
  11. Wow! Great looking store! I'll try to drop by and spend some money when I come to Oklahoma for Oafcon this year.
