This is the crux of my argument as well - he performed well for a long time but I don't feel he ever had a MVP season - That said, I own 48 pages of his art (only 2 for sale in my gallery). What was his MVP year - now who else was playing that year?

Oops - fixed, I had a 37 and still have an 8 so I guess I messed up both - thanks both for the head's up

The MVP of your collection (with respect to objective value)
mtlevy1 replied to exitmusicblue's topic in Original Comic Art
Here we go ahead - where is the respect for the inker? (1) On which artist have you spent the most money to date? 1. Penciller - Kirby 2. Inker - Everett (more spent on Everett pencilled or inked than Kirby pencilled or inked) (2) In your collection, which artist's works have the most combined value (when assessed objectively)? 1. Penciller - Kirby 2. Inker - Everett (more value in Everett pencilled or inked than Kirby pencilled or inked) Finally, a new use for my Excel -
I enjoy Sal Buscema but using the Baseball analogy, it is similar to saying one of the top 5 BB players of all time played for several decades but never had an above average season...

Hello All, SDCC - Folks agree prices were quite high but there are alternatives - check out my for sale galleries with new lower prices on key pieces. I'd like to sell this very nice art direct to the community but if we need to provide the auction house their 10 - 20% cut then so be it - their ability to garner strong prices is clear. That said, if you are comfortable you can assess value then take a look and if something is of interest, we should be able to come to an agreement I'm adding a new page to give this please some additional pizzazz - Alan Moore and Ian Gibson, Halo Jones, Book II, Prog 407, 1985
