  1. Of course they will cancel...just waiting for the force majeure clause in the contract to kick in. Once that’s done, you’ll see notice of the convention being cancelled
  2. Try using this link: https://www.comicartshop.com/ComicArtShopsByCat.asp?GCat=2953
  3. I understand that you're merely generalizing to make your point, but the gap between a 9.4 and 9.8 *should* be more significant than that 100% of the time, with a margin of error of 0%. Sadly, this is not the case.
  4. Excessive commission fee + excessive shipping & 'handling' fees + Duties
  5. Funny, but I just came across this youtube video from the University of Nebraska on this very subject... https://unl.libguides.com/c.php?g=51789&p=1455896
  6. Marvel character development alignment with the escalating events in the Cold War, leading up to the Cuban missile crisis?
  7. This book is definitely moving up, even in 9.4 (now a $550 book) and lower grades. Some recent sales on ebay: 9.8 -Jul 19 stan lee sig series = $3,250. This would appear to be a pretty good deal given to recent run-up on this book -Jul 17 = $2,900. best offer accepted -Jul 15 McFarlane sig series = $3,999.99. best offer accepted -Jul 12 = $2,750 9.6 -Jul 18 = $790 -Jul 18 McFarlane sig series = $1,190 -Jul 15 = $735 -Jul 6 = $800 -Jul 4 = $950 (newsstand)
  8. This! the grading has become so incredibly harsh over the past 5-6 months that I’ve stopped submitting books. not just that, but on site grading was also harsh at shows just before covid19.
  9. It's a wonderful page, congrats! re: shipping duration...was it sent via DHL?

  11. Carlo, I think you’re right about the Sal Buscema Defenders covers. It’s rather surprising to see the strong uptick in Sal cover art over the past 3 years. Actually, looking over some results on Heritage Archives, the rise has been incredibly strong! some very recent company include: -Defenders 9 cover = $102K -Defenders 8 cover = $42K
  12. It’s so fugly that a lot of the usual suspects didn’t bid on it
  13. Makes me happy I picked up mine for $4K shortly after Stan passed away
  14. Yes, I did see the Web Annual 2 cover sell for 19K. The #2 Annual has much more vibrant colours and was a more significant issue (Art Adams interiors) than Web 8, and was a hot back issue for a while and hits more nostalgia funny bones than the Web 8 cover. That’s why I don’t think it was a safe assumption to think that the Web 8 cover should go for 2x or 2.5x the Annual 2 cover.
  15. The only chance to pick up a Perez page at a reasonable price if if Mike Lovitz is in a coma!
  16. I love Vess’ Spiderman and IMHO his version is among the top 3. If this was published as an ASM cover, I can see $45K, but as a Web of Spidey cover, I think the $30K is quite strong. 30% above what I expected.
