  1. Its about right and in line with the premium that other pages from this issue have sold for previously
  2. Looks as though the opportunity to obtain a CGC NM9.8 White pages copy for under $1K was very brief. Prices now very solidly above $1K, headed towards $1.1K

  4. Yeah, those darn boomers with their non-mechanical pencils! There outta be a law! 🤣
  5. So when we try to answer which is the best of their era, there's potential for a huge shift in preference depending upon the years specified. Personally, I see Byrne's influence as the 'top artist' of the era ending shortly after FF 250. The art looked more rushed, lacked much of the finer details (to my eyes), and became just 'OK'. Suddenly, I didn't feel compelled to pick up the latest Byrne FF book or subsequent titles, and I started to stay away from his stuff with Namor, She-Hulk, etc. There were other artists who proved far more interesting to me at that time, and anything they worked on got my money. As Byrne started his descent, I felt it was right around the time I truly noticed how great Perez was, not just on NTT, but Crisis, and a host of other projects he dabbled in.
  6. Per Wiki: "Officially, Namor the Sub-Mariner is considered the first mutant superhero whom Marvel Comics ever published,[6] debuting in 1939. However, Namor was not actually described as a mutant until Fantastic Four Annual #1, decades after his first appearance.[7] The same is true of Toro, partner of the android Human Torch introduced in 1940." FF Annual #1 was published in July, 1963, while X-Men #1 was published in September, 1963, a few months after FF Annual #1. Therefore, Namor precedes the Uncanny X-Men as the 1st (published) mutant character of the Marvel Universe
  7. Let’s not. Neal does a great job talking about Neal.
  8. I think You’re making the assumption that the entire 60 issues was of “consistent level of excellence “, which it wasn’t.
  9. I think a google search will get you the results...I just don’t have the time....
  10. DD, Wolverine, Ronin, Batman Year One, DKR...is there even a question?
  11. It was assumed that he was a mutant prior to xmen #1, although I cannot find it in print. he is also not the oldest mutant, with Apocalypse and Wolverine being older.
  12. I think the concept of “Mutants” certainly wasn’t Stan Lee’s, and I don’t believe Mutants were 1st introduced in X-Men #1, considering The Sub-Mariner is the 1st Mutant in the marvel universe.
  13. Was this judgement made before or after you became blind as a bat?
  14. Really? I would easily take Miller over Byrne as the greatest writer/artist of that era. By far.
  15. I think Marvel already did this back in the mid-80’s, with their “Official Marvel Index to Marvel Team Up” 😉
  16. So, how was day one for the dealers? Does anyone have some market report they’d like to share with the rest of us?
  17. Some nice artwork that I haven’t seen before, which is definitely a positive. 👍🏻
  18. Agreed. Some people choose to have blinders on and ignore the facts.
  19. you are referring to the inherent trust one politician would have in the other following through on their part of the deal.
  20. If you wish to ignore same grade comparison, then yes, you are , in your own way, correct...at being incorrect
  21. Firstly, let's have a fair comparison here. There are no TMNT #1's in 9.9 so we cannot compare it to the Hulk 181 in 9.9. That said, taking a look at the 9.8's the most recent sales data I have of TMNT #1 in 9.8 = $90K, and $52.8K. Both sales in 2019. The most recent sales data I have on Hulk 181 in 9.8 = $31.2K and $37.2K. Both sales in 2020. 90 day average = $31.2K
