  1. Thanks for the input guys. Gee if I'd have known it's okay to swipe from other artists so flagrantly, maybe I'd have been drawing comics for the last 40 years! As a writer, I know I'm sensitive to others swiping my lines, but I've watched enough film to know it happens. My ebay ID = rooster.c if you want to keep up with someone selling top end golden age and original art. BTW, that Wings #88 CGC 9.4 is mine. But it's not for sale.
  2. I accidentally posted this earlier in the movie, tv, and games section ( I apologize ) so I am reposting it here where it belongs. I hate to open a can of worms, but as I scrolled through the current COMICLINK auctions, I noticed an original art cover by BILL BLACK (CRYPT OF HORROR #1 COVER) that looked terribly familiar. I collect Wings Comics ( golden age ) and I know my girls!!! Turns out, the girl in the Bill Black image is an exact reversal of the image on cover of Wings Comics #88. Is there any way in hell that this practice is justified?

  4. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #3 CGC 9.4 - COMICLINK AUCTION ENDS TONIGHT 5-30-17 ASM COLLECTORS! Sorry about such short notice. Holiday weekends will do that to a person. However, I thought real ASM collectors should be aware of the opportunity to pick up the best #3 you are likely to ever see in a no-reserve auction. This CGC 9.4 copy has all the credentials of a 9.6. Perfect edges and corners, perfect unbroken black colors at bottom of cover. No spine stress, no color breaks, no rips or tares, no writing, no fading, perfect centering, brilliant colors, premium page quality. SO why am I selling it? I don't know people, I really don't know. The last 9.6 copy I am aware of sold recently for more than $54,000. And it was no nicer than this copy. So, collectors, you decide what this comic is worth. It's a beauty, no doubt. If I made any listing errors, I apologize, I don't show up here often, and I might make mistakes. If anyone has something to say, please make a constructive comment. I am likely not to make it back to respond to any inquiries prior to auction end, but you should have all the info you need. Good luck to bidders! 5. This is my first posting since the new boards were introduced, so be patient, and if there are any errors in the posting, please keep any negative criticism to yourself. Just thought you folks should be aware of a couple books I have for sale on Comiclink, auction ending Thurday night, March 2nd. TALES OF SUSPENSE #39 CBCS 9.0 WHITE PAGES First appearance IRON MAN This is an unbelievable copy of this first appearance of Iron Man. All corners and edges are sharp, there is no writing or fading, and the book has BONE WHITE pages. This was a CGC 9.0 which I felt was under-graded so I gave it to CBCS to be re-graded. It came back again at 9.0. Both grading services are being tough on this book. This book is structurally sound with perfect registry and centering. It looks nicer than the last 9.4 which sold on Comiclink. Check it out in the archives. I paid over 43k for this book as a 9.0. The book is better than 9.0. On a better day, this book would be 9.2 or 9.4. Most of the 9.4s at auction right now pale in comparison to this book. TALES OF SUSPENSE #58 CBCS 9.4 Also ending in Thurday's CL auction. This copy of Cap vs. Iron Man speaks for itself. Razor sharp everything. I'll include scans of the books. Cheers to all and happy collecting. ( I cannot be at my computer and on the boards all the time, so I hope I've included enough info to minimize any need for questions. ) I may duplicate this message in the other Silver Age forum, so be patient of any redundancy. Thanks. Dave Here are the scans of the 2 books: ( TOS 39 fc,bc TOS 58 fc )
