Great article, but how have I made it to 2018 without knowing about The Fighting Hobo? I strongly feel he's going to fix everything in INFINITY WAR 2.
Hahah - it was great fun to have the NY Times in my house -- my family was impressed. But, I screwed up, shortly after the interview I learned of a FOURTH Hobo character from the Golden Age -- oops

What is a THRID party authenticator? I read it carefully on the AH COA but I don't know what a "Thrid" is?

Wow, I just saw a new one minute later commission.
Apparently you can commission him via Spencer.
So try that.
Malvin
No - I don't think you can -- this was a gift from Spencer -- I do know that Spencer has 1-2 in his collection that you can probably pry out of him.

Here is the cover to Mighty World of Marvel #36 (2003 Marvel/Panini) recreating the famous John Byrne cover to Hulk Annual #7. This was published in Europe by Marvel/Panini. For reasons not clear to me, Marvel had UK artist David Roach do line by line recreations. Logo/text is all new and on an overlay. Super way to get a very famous cover for a fraction of the price. PUBLISHED. $499

Jack Kirby - Missileman/Bulletman (DC, 1983). This was drawn in 1983 and published in the Jack Kirby Checklist: Gold Edition produced by TwoMorrows Publishing in 2008. It is huge coming in at 19 x 24 on Bristol Board. Signed. This was either a design for the Super Powers mini-series Jack did for DC or maybe a toy design. Not clear. $2500

I’m sure the Stevens will be on a dealers website soon.
I don't think so - it was bought by a collector who I believe will cherish it

You mean bid live through the Weiss Auctions site?
No - if you show up and bid live on site. No juice for in-person bids I believe. And, I think 2% off as well if you pay in cash. I think that is right so a dealer could show up and pay 98% of his bid price instead of 120% like the rest of us.

From what I could tell, they were marked as floor bids in Invaluable, but in the audio feed they were call-ins. Actual floor bids had paddle numbers, I think.
I bid via the Internet and I had a paddle number

For reasons unknown to me, Marvel UK had artist David Roach do line by line recreations of famous Marvel covers and then ran the covers in Mighty World of Marvel. Here is #51 featuring Arthur Adam's Fantastic Four cover -- again, this is by David Roach -- this is the published cover. Logo/text is on an overlay and is not original. $2500 which is a fraction of what the actual Arthur Adams cover would cost.

I had 30-40 longboxes - sold everything for comic art -- I didn't bulk it out until the end as I had a ton of CGC Keys and Golden Age -- all gone.
