  1. CGC states, "CGC does grade magazine-size books. However, CGC does not grade treasury-size books as their size exceeds even the largest available CGC holder." Treasury size is a mere 13.5" x 10" while a concert poster is 14" x 20" With the understanding that thickness is a difference as well, on the positive side these statements are contradictory. There is a market for treasury size, so what is the reality over not grading them? Thanks.
  2. Hi Mike, In general, when CGC misses annotation of the newsstand edition on the CGC label, is it returnable for correction at CGC expense? The prerequisites have been met: I added newsstand edition to the comic line item because there was none, and it is confirmed a direct edition exists...a lot of them. Thank you
  3. My question is, if sub grading is not a selected service at the time of submission can a perfect 10 still be achieved? Also, is it possible to send in slabs to update the label to include the sub grades? If not, there's a future service for it. The future is now thanks.
  4. Hi Mike, I have been trying for about 5 days or so to complete a submission (before Ian). The area "How should we send your order back to you?" and "Which service do you want to use?" does not work as intended. I select ship with CGC and ground, but when I click enter payment it points to "Ship under my Account/Select carrier." which I cannot get by....its like a glitch. thanks.
  5. Economy (Pre - 1975) $35 Fast Track: +$15 227 days Fast Track: 20 days This seemingly going-out-of-business deal or sale is working for new submissions--but its pushing mine (and others) back more and more from 9 months ago--even 3 months ago. Apparently this is an intended consequence. I should note I could have been a father....I could have conceived after the submission and had the baby in the crib (and started another) before one grade is given.
  6. Hi, I did as you instructed. Thanks for the knowledge and the help.
  7. I went to submit 3 batches of 50 comics each on 6/18, but the form stopped working after the 2nd submission. Today is no different. CGC on the phone says I should delete all 50 comics and start over. But I rather avoid my head exploding after that not working. After all, checks work fine and therefore the 50 lines items cannot be the issue. Also, funds are not the issue. Please advise.
  8. Actually, the submit form is 100% inferior to the prior submission form. The prior submit form lets you edit the line item in its entirety, With this new one, no editing is allowed--only deletion.
  9. What I surmise is they never expected for any submissions to take 8 months and more to complete so they set it up to drop off at 8 months. They have a search tool for submissions over 8 months I use to check my 9/12 Eco. The days are doubled from last year's tats.
  10. Hi Ryan, can a purchased green label card (like from ebay) be sent in for reslab/relabel for the $5 cost? I am unsure if the $5 fee only applies to those that sent in their own cards they had graded. Thanks.
  11. Amazing. I took a chance with BGS (I was one of the first to submit to them) at their inception and about 20 years later I find PSA is the top grader since their cards command more. So I sent cards to PSA, but as you know the wait time for the last 2 years or so was disturbing. So, I took a chance with CSG a year ago (again, I was one of the first to submit to them at their inception) and find apparent indecisiveness today...the green label and grading scale lasted a whole year. I might as well pay for regrading at PSA instead of paying reholdering anywhere else. Not like I agree with all the grades anyway....and there are label errors. Or maybe I should cash out and call it a day.
  12. Among others, I have three Sept 2021 submissions charged Wed (no emails yet either), two of them modern have been in Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging for many weeks (at least one of them a month); one is an economy still in the basic scheduled for grading.
  13. That's insane. They should be done with at least July let alone May....unless they went to CCS.
  14. Now that CGC has caught up with their backlog and appear in control, they should take the next step of actual control and start indicating by date which submissions of Modern, economy, etc., are being graded.
  15. My first submission to CGC was back in March 2017 and I opt to use CCS, which was fairly new at the time. Back then it took an extra month for 15 books to be pressed and I got them back about 2 months and 1 week. But I was not satisfied because I had grading notes indicating bends on at least five of the books (I'm sure they do better now since they're still in service). That's when I took it upon myself to learn the art of making paper flawless...or trying to would be a better term. One of my best decisions although I have still had my share of bends, so I just give myself a piece of my mind. bend right bottom of front cover very light, multiple bend top of front cover bend right top of front cover through book multiple bend top of back cover multiple bend bottom of back cover
  16. The one received 10/13 and was delivered to CGC about 9/15; the last 2 about a week; the others as much as 2 months going back to May. There is no 100% correlation to-delivered, to-received, to-shipped, and to-paid….anymore. Unsure why new submissions would be expedited over submissions delivered much sooner...hopefully it has nothing to do with anything gloomy. Anyway, my goal starting in Dec2020 was to send at least one submission per month so that I would receive back (eventually) one submission per month. For the most part it appears to be working although I wish they would stick to payment upon grading/shipping so I could better plan for potential funding issues. This is actually a CCG responsibility and not a CGC one.
  17. If CGC crashed so would the slabs and so would the comics. The reason why a graded 9.8 gets the cash is because its certified by a 3rd party, not a 1st or 2nd party. More than likely it's a reproduction from Brazil like the Hulk 181 and many more gem mints going around.
  18. They have had at least two facilities for awhile now (reholders are sent to a different address, at zip 34240). But they did say earlier this year they obtained more space. If they are nearly caught up on opening and inputting the comics, then they have ease of access to all books. https://www.cgccomics.com/news/article/8919/ccg-new-building/
  19. I have Spawn #11 manufactured without staples with a name "ERIC" written across the title like it was some form of in-house review copy but I can't find a link to confirm. Also, Spawn #9 same name but has both staples. I acquired them in the Honolulu area back in around 1995. Or was it the late 90's in Phoenix...now I am no sure!
