Hey guys, I know this isn't the WTB section but I don't get much action there, so I thought I'd try where the Turtle fans are directly. Please delete if not allowed.

    I'm looking for TMNT Vol.1 issues, #11, #13, #16, #28 and #62 in 9.8.

I know, I know, they're some of the hardest issues to get. But I thought I'd try my luck here.

And I'm jealous of all the OA you guys have too. 😭😃🐢

There’s only 1 #16 9.8 that exists. I sold it to icculus304win for a disgusting amount of money lol

That book is so hard to find in 9.8. @Icculus308win Maybe if you get tired of your copy, you can pass it along to me. LOL. I'm stuck now at 56 of 62 issues of Vol. 1 in 9.8.  😎🐢

@Racerboy1 Congrats on the recent Heritage sale and thanks for helping me out with my collection as well!

Ah yes thanks. It worked out well. I’m keeping my other gold copy. 😎

I was working with the same seller Dec 2016 for that book.  I offered $3k and he turned me down.  Funny how he ended up selling it for less than I offered.  Same seller had a 9.6 first print for sale as well if I remember correctly.

I believe that is correct. He always seems to get his hands on some of the best books. I had no idea that I had the only number 16 cgc 9.8 on the census which I purchased from the same seller. It wasn’t until icculus308win pointed it out to me.

Agreed, I was thinking the same.  I'm pretty sure this exact book went for 10k on eBay a while back.  There's only one yellow label variant 9.8 on the census.  Must of not had the right people's attention?  Who knows.

Those signed Gobbledygooks are amazing!  Wow!

I actually bought it from the seller for 2850. He was initially asking 8500 for it. But he needed the money and dropped the price. Then in 2019 prior to the cgc awards the same individual wanted to purchase it from me for 25k, it would have elevated them into first place. But I have a good relationship with Icculus so I couldn’t let him lose his top spot.

I just recently sold it for 8500 on eBay. I had a feeling it would go up on HA. Bad timing to move the book and the seller lost 1k. But that’s the game some play.

  5. Funny thing is the lady offered the silver and gold to me for 20k. But I countered with 12k for both. She politely declined and said she would be sending them in to Clink to auction. I thought great because as Tony mentioned above these have all been done through private transactions. I needed a recorded sale price to happen. I fortunately own two Gold. Number 6 and number 10. Each graded 9.2 and 9.6 respectively. No one had ever seen the back sketchon number 10 until last year.  It is the last book in that set and in my opinion has the best sketch on the back out of the nine that are known to exist. 5/10 seems to be a mystery.
