This auction in INSANE!!
It will be the defining auction for (hero) MLJ's and will put them in the stratosphere (in all grades) like Fox before them going forward i believe
I'm glad I consigned all of those Pinnacle Hill MLJ books to their Signature auction! ;-)

Have a Cigar! MLJ Publishing and Golden Age Archie only!
in Golden Age Comic Books
Posted
These books were part of the Pinnacle Hill collection which was well known for producing the best known copy of Detective Comics #27 to date and the first comic to break the million dollar mark at auction. The owner bought these books second hand for the most part and kept them until the end when he passed away at the age of 92 over a year ago. Heritage got the lions share of this collection back in 2010 when he decided to part with the Golden Age DC and Marvel titles (and boy, did they every get some nice books like Cap #1, Sensation #1, Detective #27, etc).
Ed and Lon over at Heritage agreed to continue with the Pinnacle Hill name and over 100 of these books will be in their upcoming Signature auction. The remaining will be in their next auction if they get back from CGC in time. This is a complete MLJ hero run with 218 books in total save for Pep #22 and Archie #1. Both were sold through Heritage in 2010. Archie #1 was an 8.5 and Pep #22 was a 7.0.
