Conneaut! Definitely a scary place! Small world... my wife grew up in Kingsville, her grandparents lived in Conneaut! Wow! That is shocking. Considering how small town we are around here. The only thing horrifying around here is the job market (or lack there of)

I can think of a few, though I don't have any scans of them. Defenders 32, 103, and 107 Xmen 149 sort of has that feel too.

Also got a nice package from Mile High/ Bunch of pence and 'fat diamond' books. I know a lot of you guys here don't like Chuck and his grading, but for mid to low grade stuff, I think he actually undergrades. And where else can I grab 20 comics (14 of which are variants) + 2 Savage Sword mags and get it shipped to my door for less than $25. Will try to take some pics tonight and get them posted. If not, will probably be sometime this weekend.

Didn't see a reply to this one. Were there any variants among the Pence copies?

As said before, the Star Wars books have the "cross-over collectiblity factor" with the movie fanatics that most of the other variants don't. At least, that's the way I see it. K Plus that particular variant has been in listings for years. So it is more well known. First I ever heard of price variants was when Mile High started listing that SW #1 variant for stupid money. That just kept going higher and higher.

Still too expensive for me to get into the 35 cent game. But I did score another 30 center! Conan 64

Check this thread on my Chamber of Darkness http://boards.collectors-society.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=713212&an=0&page=0#713212 You can see some spine stress in this pic. It is the small little creases that branch from the spine.

Those frankenstein covers reminded me of some other stuff I have The last one isn't really horror in ths strictest sense, but it came with the other 2. Got them all in a lot on ebay along with a nice Conan #7 Star Wars #1 and a few others for a whopping $15 after shipping costs were added in.
