  1. The cliff notes. CGC decided to do another pay to give Universal grade of 10's , 9.9's, and 9.8's to some Black Flag books from last year that had an aftermarket acetate cover done by Clayton Crane that was stapled to those existing books. Rightfully most of the board members are pizzed. We sub our books and wait a year to get chit grades with no notes and crap in the case, but they staple new covers and get all high grades.. CGC said "They stand behind them."
  2. Only if you created the book you attached them to...
  3. I already have a few long boxes of the Superman #75 ready, just need to order the acetate and get approval from CGC and Mike. Then I will be reaching out to Dan Jurgens..
  4. They were " produced " not individually hand painted/sketched. Now had he actually hand made all of these , They probably would have done the Yellow label .
  5. The way mike stated it was that " The artist" meaning the original artist who did the underlying books original cover also did the acetate. So for example if I were to commission Dan Jurgens to do a Doomsday acetate overlay for the Superman #75 books I could then staple those over a bunch of those books and submit them to CGC for universal 10's , 9.9's , 9.8's.
  6. So if were were to commission the artist who worked on a book to do an acetate cover for a book then stapled in on ourselves we would get the same results?
  7. After the Bad Idea Invisible grading fiasco we all should have known that CGC will sell a predetermined grade. The biggest question that not only I, but I am sure most here want to know is, "What does it cost to buy a 10 or 9.9 from CGC?
  8. After consulting with many prominent members of the community I have decided that we no longer need to change your mind. I know what my reply was and I stand behind it. I took this time to reply, which I did not have to do.
