I really appreciate and respect the fact you actually came here to reply to this. That is just it. This thread was all about fun and tryingto limit off topic posts in other threads. Yes there have been times it has been pushed and boundaries were tested. You can say that about almost every thread that lasts more than a couple pages. I really do not mind where they choose to locate the thread. I also do understand your frustration when it comes to looking at sort by all content posted and there can be pages of notifications about this thread as it does have a life of its own. That said this happens when some members start posting and draws other members in and they too start posting. So far over the course of this thread it has gained several new posters and others interested in the posts. Does it get repetitive at times? Sure. Again we could say this about a lot of long running threads (post count not length) I do have times where I post rational well thought out posts. (Not all memes and gifs) I also do believe in giving credit where credit is due and your thread was definitely a good one and you deserve the credit for all of the work put into it. I am sorry if my above post was interpreted as go screw yourself. That was not my intention. I enjoy this thread silly as it may be at times. I was just a little frustrated at the way so many on here continue to try to push this "we dont like it , so it has to go attitude " Not everything has to be for everyone. It has not all been dedication and soft porn , although I do see the point about those. Again I know there are times things get pushed. I do understand that they are trying to gain more female participation . That said the entire boards to not need to be washed for this to happen. There are just as many dirty minded women. When it comes to the "you can't be trusted not to make off topic posts" that was a decision by Mike. There are many threads that did have a TON of off topic posts and he was working way more than he ever should to try to moderate each and every complaint and hand out warnings, vacations, bans, as well as having to lock threads. Then he would get bombarded with PMs about locking a thread and have to go back clean it all up and reopen it. Which most of the time still ultimately ended up permanently locked or poofed. He made a judgment call to see if creating this thread specifically for off topic posts would help reduce that work load and cut down of off topic posts in other threads. So far it has seemed to work. Yes this did not eliminate the off topic posts in all threads . It never really was believed to be a 100% fix. It just helped Mike bring it to a much more manageable task. Sure I can be a Big kid. That is one of the reasons I do enjoy this thread. I can go from decrepit old man to young at heart. Not have to worry as much that if I make a joke that I will get sent to the sin bin and then have some cyber stalker trying to hump the button on every one of my posts. Most of those in this thread know exactly what to expect. Again. I do not mind if they relocate this thread. It is the talk about a poll to eliminate it that bothers me. I completely understand not wanting every thread bombarded with off topic posts. I completely understand many may not like this thread. Good thing there are thousands of other threads for them to enjoy. Like many of your threads! (I really do enjoy those as well) I definitely agree that when too many off topic posts happen that cause another thread to go down , that those that did it should be given points, strikes, vacations, bans. I know I have had my share of points and vacations. It was a learning experience. We can all have our own threads with telling others what they can or can not have. Only CGC can ultimately decide what is allowed on their boards. I do not want it to be a battle . There is nothing wrong with coexisting. It may just take some work on a happy medium.

Now in the moderation thread there is discussion about first moving it to the WC instead of CG and then the conversation moved to a Poll to see if they should shut it down.
