  1. At the time the couple i was selling the dung to specifically asked for the elephant and the Zoo was more than happy to accommodate ( and joke about) to me they were just steaming piles of extra cash. That is good information about the tiger dung, but where I am located in Florida I am sure there is a Tiger King joke in there.
  2. Poop.. Yes.. weirdest thing I sold to pay for comics. It has been about 20 plus years since this has happend. I knew some mushroom farmers that used to live about 35 miles from my house. ( no not the illicit ones) They had a preferred dung they used to grow their spores. (Elephant) 20 miles the opposite direction from my house there is a small local zoo that I used to volunteer at during the summers. Wouldn't you know it. They would just let me take as much of the scat as I wanted , although many jokes were made. Each trip would net me between $100-$200 . Which I would do this once every couple weeks. Most of the time on the way back to the house I would stop at the LCS and pick up comics. So it was literally carp to cash to comics. I did this for about 2 years.
  3. I will pose this question again. Does anyone think any of the upcoming Promise Pedigree Collection has a chance at beating out any of the books currently holding this list? I know they still haven't listed all ( think they are about 300+ out of the 5,000) but do you think any of these so far have a shot? I can only imagine what some of the rest of the books are. Image a Punch #12 in 9.8...
  4. That is ok. I had the same problem years ago. If you pick up the phone and call them then explain what you want to list and its value they will raise your limit.
  5. There are several members here who use the free posts on ebay to place things for sale at the, " I do not care if I sell this, but if you are going to pay that price number " then they just let it ride. Sometimes the market catches up and they get their asking price, sometimes the book blows up and they sell it, other times it just sits and sits. Only one way to really tell as this current market has been crazy. You never know , one of those GME or Crpto millionaires might see those and know how hard they are to come by and not really care about price.
  6. Those are sweet! BTW.. I would disagree with this. I know it is not as popular right now, but I have always enjoyed Maxx and both these and the Ashcans have been going up. If they would just do another show or make a movie these would gain a TON of attention. That aside there are still several of us out there that would love to own those books. Congratulations.
  7. dang Mine are different offenses, but I am in the same place. Living on the edge..
  8. In cards they started using the term ultra modern for the new stuff.
  9. Might this list change depending on what all is in the Promised Pedigree Collection?
  10. Thought that is what got you into this in the first place.

  12. Jokes aside. If this is brought up to CGC they will probably reach out to the seller and try to get the book back. This was their approach with Dylan.
