  1. There are color breaking spine ticks, fuzzed corners, and A LOT of dirt. I'd grade it around a 6.0 - 6.5 at this point. A press might help to get rid of all of that dirt. Without that dirt, your book is a great 8.0 - 8.5. Therefore, you should definitely press it.

Online - 3 Books in the Modern Service

Book #1: New teen titans #2

Book #2: Tales of the Teen Titans #44

    Book #3: Omega men #3

    Received - 5/22

    Verified - 6/9

    Scheduled for grading - 6/16

This process was supposed to take 23 business days. With the shipping there, it is approaching 23 days in a couple more and my books still aren't encapsulated. Does anyone know if there's something slowing the process down?

Today, (6/19) it switched to graded at around 11:00 AM.

  4. There are numerous spine ticks (which should press out well, if not completely, because like the cover, they are white). In addition, the bottom left corner has an extremely small blunt which breaks color. Assuming all the spine stresses were pressed out (probably not likely) you would get a 9.6 due to the small defect, however you have a color break on the back, so a press should ensure a 9.4, possibly a 9.6 on a good day.

  5. Signature series - is it easy as this?

Hello all, I am a bit unfamiliar with the signature series process and I wanted to get a few books signature series certified later this year at NYCC. What I had in mind for the signature series process is you get a cgc employee from their table, then wait on line for the writer/artist you want, and have the cgc employee witness the writer/artist sign the book(s) that you want signed. Is this the process to get your books signed and then stabbed with a yellow label or am I missing something?

  6. That press would definitely improve the grade. Firstly, even if the bend did break color, it would be a white color break and since it's on white anyway, it would look like it was never even bent. This book is a 9.4 with a press, easily. I'd say press and grade it, but on the lowest tier. Otherwise it would be too expensive for what you'd sell it for.

  7. The spine is not in good condition. The corners are well worn. There are a lot of color breaking folds. Lasty, there is little to no cover gloss, there are some instances of tanning, and there are slight ripples across the cover. I hate to disagree with my other forum mates, but I think a 5.0 is a bit of a stretch here. I'd say a 4.0 maybe on a good day, a 4.5. However, this is still worth about $650 at the bare minimum, and if I am wrong (which is definitely in the realm of possibility) and you get a 5.0-5.5, then you are looking at around $1000. Therefore, this is worth grading. Great book!
