Canadian comics vs Canadian Editions
I don't have a lot of CGC books, and I haven't joined the registry (I'm private that way) but I have been trying to increase my Canadian White collection and many have been CGC'd. This is great, as the condition is clear, but my concern is how they are described. Everything published by Anglo American and Bell Features I have seen say "Canadian Edition" on them, but this is, by definition, incorrect. To be a Canadian edition supposes that there is another edition, like a reprint of an American title, like Captain Marvel, which did happen. Howevermany titles, titles like Triumph, Commando, Freelance, Three Aces Dime Comics and more were completely Canadian, with original characters, stories and art. This does not make them "Canadian editions", but simply Canadian comics. These books were not reprinted by another publisher either, so there was only the one edition. Is there a way the label going forward could change to reflect that?
