This would've been cool, albeit too easy.
I would like to have seen that, especially in this book, I loved the work the artist did on this issue.

Space doesn't appeal to me but that doesn't mean I don't know how many planets are in our solar system...lol
Lol, that's stupid. Is that supposed to be logic? A subject doesn't appeal to you, but you knowing an elementary fact about the subject means that you know what you're talking about?

It hasn’t gone up for sale yet. Debating when and how.
Awesome! Hope you guys can get some signature series of this up for sale, I would love to have one. It's my favorite Dell'Otto metal cover so far.

Hey Polirer could you please shed some light on the status of this cover? I posted a picture last month asking about the print run and I think you mentioned it was 1000, but I haven't seen any copies for sale. I've been checking the bulletproof site and I never saw it listed. Would you be able to tell me when this will/did go up for sale?

I was wondering if anyone else was expecting the origin for the Batman who laughs to be related to "the Killing Joke"
I enjoyed it, but I thought it would have been really cool if they had made origin about an alternate reality where the "one bad day" in the killing joke made batman go nuts

Who says the books weren't sold??
See this is what I'm talking about....I'm done.
Your right. Happy now? Hope so because I do not go back and forth about what we both know is bull dung.
"what we both know"? Lol, what would you know? You said these types of books have no appeal to you.

To me they are second market books that are printed after the original print runs and have no appeal except "print run"
Print run only concerns me when it comes to keys and that print run I'm talking about is the original print.
Anyway...some of these are very attractive books with great art. If that's your thing.

Ok now i don't doubt that but it can be 50 damaged...100 damaged...2 damaged.
I don't care how many it's just to say there is 800 available because 200 of the 1000 print run is expected to be damaged? Before you even receive the books? It made me laugh.
Honestly I chuckled because that just really adds to how many are actually "floating in the market" or stashed in some bodies collection.
It is stated as a plausable scenario that can make higher grade rarer but to me it makes me question the numbers.
I don't see how this scenario would make higher grade rarer. If anything that would have the opposite effect, since the damaged books would not be put up for sale.

There is no yellow background WW. See what you did Kev geez!
Do you know what the print run on the Red background with the yellow flaming swords covers was? I don't see any info about it on the bulletproof site.

It literally was a late night, Im hungry for McDonalds while reading CGC boards joke, but if you saw it, maybe Im clairvoyant.
Lol, I misread that. I read yellow and red, and I thought you were talking about the cover in the picture I posted.

Im partial to the yellow background with red flames McDonalds variant myself. Not sure when that one will be out?
This wasn't a joke actually. Not sure what the deal is with this one, like where/when they're releasing it or the print run, but it's for sure a real cover. Maybe someone from Bulletproof can chime in on the availability of this book

Thank you. Your description makes me wish I would have stuck with it, I just hated the first Metal book.
I second this. I've been collecting a few of the variants since there's been some pretty amazing covers coming out, but now I wish I'd been reading this whole story arc. Sounds pretty awesome.

Redneck #1 seems like it's heating up. It's still relatively new and they're already going for around $15 on ebay right now. It's got some nice artwork and a pretty good story so far.

Hope you have a number of couches to go through for spare change.
yeah looks like there's a ton. I had my sights set a little lower. I was thinking more along the lines of trying to collect all the Mexican variants of Batman Rebirth.

Lol, that was the first thing I checked. The one I have is in English unfortunately. I was hoping it would have been in Spanish. That would have been pretty cool.

I luckily grabbed a raw copy over a year ago. I think I paid $250 at the time. It graded, unpressed at a 9.4, but I bought it strictly for my registry set. I had no idea that the other earlier issues were taking off, and luckily I have multiples of issues 2-15 of various covers and printings. I might have drop them in the sales forum after I dig them out of the box. Also I have around 15 different books currently being graded for my registry set, but I am still missing a quite a few for a full run.
Oh, that's a pretty sweet pickup right there. I set a price limit for myself on that book at $350, and I couldn't find a copy anywhere close to that price. I would love to have had a complete run of those books but that seems unlikely now. I'm going to have to settle for a complete run of the first prints. I was trying to grab that #16 convention variant with the Last of Us cover but people are asking way too much for those now. There's two on ebay right now going for $200, I actually offered each of them $120 for them and I was turned down.
So far it's just the first 5 issues and a couple of variants that are taking off, #2 seems to be the most common of the bunch for whatever reason, you can still pick those up for $10.
-
Oh, that's pretty cool. I didn't realize there were a lot of Mexican variants. That might be a cool set to try to collect. This was the first one I had seen, so I was pretty eager to buy it. I picked it up for $30 so I guess I didn't overpay for it too much.
-
Pick up an interesting Batman variant at a collectibles show yesterday. I thought it was pretty awesome so I just wanted to post up a pic of it. The dude I bought it from said it was a Mexico only exlusive variant for something called La Mole con. I'm not sure if it's rare at all, for all I know La Mole Con is a huge deal and there's a million of these suckers in Mexico, but I've never seen one here.

There's been at least a half dozen copies for sale the last couple of months.
-J.
That's really surprising to hear, at least more than half a dozen sounds like a lot, if the average auction time was 7 days there would have been one for sale almost the entire time in the last two months. I was seriously in the market for one, I guess I hadn't been checking quite often enough, or I need to seriously reevaluate my search criteria. Although, I suppose it would't have mattered anyway since you said they were all shilled.

The raw copies have all been shilled too.

Oh, wow that must have been a while ago then, unless they slipped by me. Because I've been in the market for a raw copy of that book for a couple of months now, and I don't remember more than one raw copy of that book even being sold in that time.

I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on who Batman is talking to at the end of this?
Carter Hall maybe?
