    I realize this thread is old, but it answered some questions I was going to ask. I’m submitting my first set of books to CGC, I brought myself a premium membership as a birthday gift so I’m excited to be submitting some books!!! Glad I happened on this thread. Thanks for the help everyone!!!

    TO SLAB OR NOT TO SLAB??? Hello fellow comic collectors, enthusiast and aficionados!!! I come to you with a question. I'm a bronze/copper/modern book collector, leaning heavily in the modern era of collecting. That said, I pose the question, is it worth the outlay to slab modern books? I understand why you would get a gold or silver age book slabbed, a first appearance, a signed book, etc. but I wonder if it would be worth doing for modern books. I would do it for nothing more than the fact that I loved the cover art and would love to display the books. I guess I'm really just trying to justify the outlay of cash for something I'm just going to display. What do you guys (and girls) think? Thanks in advance for all your advice!!!

    Sounds like a lot of fun to look through!!! Spawn is a great set!!! I have the first 16 issues. I found a good chunk of the run at a second hand shop for $1 a piece and ended up selling them. I'll get around to collecting the rest of the set eventually. I heard Chew was a great run. You don't hear to many people say they have a complete set.
