  1. Hi...thanks for the info...even tho one source ("obiwon-kenobi") says reprints only for #1-6, others say because of the blank lower upc box my #7 star wars comic is a reprint....I got this comic in a Whitman 3 comic pack back in 1977 and I previously sold one from that pack (exactly like this one) that was graded by CGC and CGC did not mark it a reprint....any further thoughts or advice ???? thanks....
  2. Howdy...PGM star wars #2 comic...concerned about the lightly stamped "53" between the S and T....also a nick on left edge....thanks a lot...Mike
  3. Here's a photo of S.W. #7....thanks for your help
  4. Hi...I sent in to CGC my "Star Wars" comic #7 for grading and just got it back--graded 9.0 but marked as a "reprint"....According to "obiwon-kenobi", prominent comic book collector/dealer and author of online "How to tell if your Star Wars comic is a reprint", Marvel only reprinted issues #1-6....From #7 on, all were original first printings....What's the truth? would appreciate your expert comments...thanks...Mike
  5. Hi...PGM 1979 (April) "Adventure Comics" #462.....I'm concerned about small creases left edge and bottom edge...thanks....
  6. Howdy...would appreciate your checking out my 1954 Action Comics #192....well read with creases and tear at upper left.....many thanks...Mike
  7. 8. howdy...PGM my "Tales of the Teen Titans" #44...looks great but concerned about small crease at bottom left and right edges....many thanks....
  9. thanks for your help...here's scan of lower right edge of "star wars" #7...also one of you mentioned water stain on back....no water stain but I too questioned darker image but it appears to be part of the printed photo....if different would appreciate your advice...thanks...
  10. PGM "Star Wars" #7...I'm concerned about lower right front cover edge....creasing....many thanks...Mike
  11. Hi guys....PGM "Star Wars" #6 comic....also...the left white margin on the front cover seems excessive....does this affect the grade?....thanks for helping....
  12. Hi David...thanks so much for your comments....I'm new to this and have trouble grading, even tho I'm using an 8x loop....would appreciate your more detailed expertise as I certainly didn't see defects to make it an 8.0 on front side...I saw a couple small creases at spine with one color break...thanks for checking this out....best...mike
  13. PGM "star wars" #1 thanks in advance guys...checking comic with 8x loop....is this OK or need more magnification...
  14. Hi...just wanted to thank you all in advance for your help on grading my star wars #68....I'm new on ebay and like most newbies think their comic is 9.6....I've collected over 100 original star wars comics....never read, just kept in storage box all these years...I've looked carefully at this one with an 8x loop (is that what I should be using?) and it really looks like a 9.0 or better....I just put on a batch of 30 comics with a 9.0 pre-screen and 10 were graded...sold 2 of them already for $270...but too many not graded and it seems biggest fault are some small creases at spine and some with some color broken....undetectable to the naked eye and even hard to see with a 8x loop....anyway....it's a fun learning experience and thank you guys for your help....best...Mike
  15. "please grade my comic hi...i'm new to cgc and am learning more about grading day by day....would like to have some experts grade a few of my comics....what's the best way to do this...
  16. Hi...I prescreened at 9.0 and 10 (5 early S.W. comcs) out of 30 passed...I agree I have to learn to grade better...I thought my100+ 'Star Wars" comics were all close to NM, since I just stored them away, unread, after buying them for my son in '77...but in checking prices on ebay, S.W. comics even at 8.0 or 8.5 can bring in some decent money....so that's why I'm thinking about resubmitting them at 8.0 or 8.5....I will put on some of them on the chat board for a PGM review.....many thanks for all your help....Mike
  17. Hi...I was submitting many "Star Wars" comics (#1-10 and up) from 1977 plus other comics (e.g. Wolverine, Blade Runner, Raiders etc) from late '70s and early '80s...thanks....mike
