  1. By the way, Kudos to THE_BEYONDER, as per usual. Grading is spot-on. Price is spot-on. (Conversation is spot-on, too!) Cheers!
  2. Kudos to OldGuy for a whole bunch of modern ("dreck", as JC, would say ) and some sweet (i thought they were sweet at least DCs
  3. It was a really good deal. Or were you just unsure about why it only got an 8.0? Looks much better then a VFN There's a small small colour-breaking crease on the URBC
  4. It was a really good deal. Or were you just unsure about why it only got an 8.0?
  5. I got this in the mail from one KingOfRulers today
  6. Me again! Just here to offer a big KUDOS to KingOfRulers for a SWEET Amazing Spider-man #300 CGC 8.0 at an even SWEETER price! Pic posted in "new this week" thread in General
  7. Anyone else pick up one of these mini-comics? Apparently there's 8 different covers...
  8. Oh man, i always fall behind on these things! I have to seriously congratulate the following: - october: For some FABULOUS early Spideys (and a 100-pager 'Tec #439). I graded them myself without looking at the grades given upon purchase, and when i looked at his grades, every single book was within a half-grade point of my grade, and 90% of them were spot-on exact. - comicseekers: For a huge lot of Marvel Tales books. Grades were mostly as-advertisied, and although it took some kvetching, all the books arrived here as paid for (no thanks to the Postal Service, ) - jonjesper: For some SWEET Spidey promos. All perfectly graded, all fairly priced! - ft88: Not sure if i Kudosed him already, but those Fantasy Masterpieces books (i bought a full run) were delightful, absolutely delightful. - comicseekers: AGAIN, for a different lot of assorted books that he sent to me. Nicely done, as always. To all of you, KUDOS
  9. Phew. WAY overdue, but "big ups" to both DKB and october for... (what else?) both sending me some excellent Spideys! Kudos Kudos!
  10. Posted in the Silver Age forum a while ago... A Mini-Sized Hebrew Dennis the Menace book from 1964. I'm not even sure what number it is, cause it's in Hebrew. Is that 3 part of the price? Or issue number?
  11. I always hated this definition of restoration though. Because, for example, if you were to buy a book with a folded corner, and you unfolded the corner and placed the book in a bag and board with 300 other books in a long box, have you just restored it? Of course not. But when you get into these nitpicky types of definitions, by folding the corner back to it's original placement and by pressing it between several hundred other books in a tight area, you've just commited two separate actions of restoration! Am i wrong?
  12. After having read the full post, i'd like to say that i think that you raise some perfectly valid points. I'm in agreement with pretty much everything. But even if CGC were to suddenly reverse their decision and accept Overstreet's deeming of Pressing to be worthy of a PLOD, what happens to all those Blue-labeled books out there on the market already? All of the pressed books that CGC has processed before the decision to PLOD them are currently in Blue labeled holders with no notation of pressing whatsoever. That would mean that people who might be considering resubbing for a higher grade also risk getting a PLOD on a book that they had no real way of inspecting. Frankly, it sounds like people would be more inclined to keep their blue labels, play it safe, and keep a "don't-ask don't-tell" mentality. But that's just me. From that perspective though, I would think that it would be counter-intuitive for CGC to label pressing as resto, because it would mean lost profits on that angle, at least. I think maybe it would be more interesting to examine some of the other hundreds of reasons from CGCs perspective why it would benefit them not to label pressing as resto.
  13. Damn. I was hoping this would be a pun thread.
  14. BY the way.... Major KUDOS to: Collin (comicdey) for a helluva lot of books that i can now cross off my ASM list! Joey (joeypost) for some solid books AND bonuses! (some pleasant undergrading too!) Russ (ComicSupply) for about 80 books, all excellently graded, all at a great price, and shipped in a box labeled "used books" to save on stupid taxes. All of you!
  15. Gosh, nikos *phew* 20 minutes after beginning to attack the package, i finally see the comics! BEAUTIFUL! (and uh... great packaging job, too) -Daniel Cooper
  16. Okay, how about THIS one, ComicBookGuy Ever seen a (smaller than regular sized) HEBREW Dennis the Menace Comic? If you'd like interior scans, feel free to ask
  17. halasraider is pretty foolish. He let me trade my useless money for his ever-so-valuable comic books!
  18. Kudos to the man of the hour, THE_BEYONDER. Though sometimes i'm not even sure man says enough about him - he's just amazing! (except for the fact that i give him all my money )
  19. Now here's a guy who cares about his comics. I got the comics today and they were literally perfect! All in flawless condition, each one an easy CGC 9.6+. The packing was the best i have ever seen in almost a hundred purchases. Overall, he's the best i've ever bought from, and better by FAR and any Ebay seller i've ever dealt with. Kudos to you Albertos, and thanks so much. Thanks so much, Daniel
