  1. Most gun safes are not rated to protect paper documents from fire. So I'd check that for sure. I have not read the whole thread just the initial post.
  2. Hey could you spare a grade for Calexit from San Diego comicon?
  3. @JSandford - Yeah I have a slabbled Virgin Variant of Venom 1 the del'otto cover. I think I bought this book for around $180 in March from my local comic shop. Someone had unloaded a spiderman lot, I happened to be there at the right time. Right now I'm trying to collect ever cover for CALexit. I have high hopes for that comic. It just came out and the variants are red hot on ebay. Might be a good pick if you are looking for something that hasn't hit yet. But potential for that to be made into a series seems pretty good to me given current political climates.
  4. Hello, I've recently gotten back into comics after a 20 year hiatus. I started before slabbing existed. I'm not indpendently wealthy so I can't afford to slab everything I own of value. I've watched several youtube videos and mylites seem to be the way to go. But I'm not sure do you get the 2mm or the 4 mm? Half backs or full? Or skip that and use toploaders? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
  5. My thoughts exactly.... The book looks in good shape.. I'll just request a refund. The weird part is the other book I ordered is in the new holder and looks fine? It's from the same guy and same shipment. I've looked really meticulously and can only see one flaw in a corner on the back of the issue. A very small bend. I've contacted the seller but no response yet. Thanks for the insight.
  6. Swapped Comic or poor shipping? I recently ordered a 9.6 Amazing spider-man 298 & 299 off ebay. The seller had several thousand positive reviews. During the shipping process the box was damaged. I noticed some weird scratching and what looked what may be glue along a few corners. I am not sure if I got a bum deal or if it was damaged in shipping. The CGC number checks out for the grade. It was in the older container ( #1204318003). I am new to all the grading so I was curious if there is any sure way I can tell, without having it re-holstered. I've contacted the seller to see if he was the original owner or just reselling it. Any advice would help! Thanks!
  7. Thanks Paddy and highgrade. . . . I looked on ebay and this issue is crazy expensive for modern stuff. Is the upcoming spiderman movie driving up prices?
  8. Thanks Razor! There is a small dent on the cover.... But that is the only defect I could find. I am going to post 2 others if you're bored and want to give your input.
  9. Amazing Spider-man Titles need your help! Hey All, I am a level 1 noob to all the grading. I have Amazing Spider-man 300 that I'm debating sending in. I've watched some videos and read some stuff online as to what is looked at. I'm just curious if it's worth sending this to get slabbed or not? Also what you all think they would grade? Any constructive feedback would be appreciated! Thanks! Images 1-5 are #300, Regards, -Wakespike-
