  1. Thanks all for the feedback. I decided it's best to stay away. I wasn't aware of how much of a liability it could be for pressing books that are otherwise fragile. Guess I'll just wait to try and grab a slabbed one!
  2. It looks like a good candidate to be pressed, but not sure what to expect for grading with or without a press. Thoughts?
  3. Thanks for the note -- any other ideas where I could potentially look for trades then? I'll post in the WTB section, but am hoping to reach a wider audience. I'm starting to think it may not be possible.
  4. I'm in the market for a low grade ASM 1 and have a few graded books I'd be willing to move to make it happen, but don't know where or how I'd go about doing that. I'd be moving a signed JIM 83, Bat 121, and higher grade ASM 20. Would I just post in the WTB section? Any inputs appreciated and apologies if this is located in the wrong section. Thanks!
  5. Wrap seems to be a bit messed up too. Not sure if the pressing would address that or not. Again -- I'm very new to collecting / grading so apologies if more pictures are necessary.
  6. Not a ton of large keys, but definitely some "semi" keys. I'm still on the fence in knowing whether or not it'd be worth it. What's your guess as to a grade for this one?
  7. by clean the back cover, do you mean send it to a professional for dry cleaning? Or literally take an eraser to it myself? Without the cleaning of the back cover, what do you think it sits at? 4?
  8. Spine looks pretty beat up, probably because my father loved to read his comics. Is this something that's worth getting graded? I'm trying to get good at grading. I'm thinking this is something like a 5.5 -- am I far off? If I'm spot on, is it worth getting graded? Thanks!
