I have to imagine the pricing by Kwan includes some sort of pre screening fee, which is understandable in today’s market. Which more often than not is NM+ or better or bust around these parts for Modern books. If anyone wants to gamble on a copy or two not knowing what condition the book is in, or will be in after it’s journey to get to you then by all means buy one from the link.
Also, that some guy you’re referring to is a pretty well known and respected member of the comic book industry. He’s not some random flipper, just an FYI.
Near Mint books are easy to come buy these days. No need for a pre-screen or whatever nonsense that is. Especially for Panini books, which are thick and have card stock covers

Once the show ends, then you'll see the true value of the book.

So how does the Avenging Spider-man 9 and Summer of Spider-man Sampler play out?
We have one book that is a 1st appearance(Cover and inside) and another book that is a later appearance going for a ton more? How does this play out. I mean several years ago I would have been dismissive, but not anymore.
Is this you ?

A ton of retailer variants are popping up.
I'm digging this Lucio Parrillo one from Sad Lemon:
List the variants that are not store variants. Or are you here to pump and dump this ?

Deathmate Red is starting to heat up due to the Bloodshot movie, out of the nickle bin and into the dollar bin. With new interest in Youngblood, it's not a stretch to think a Deathmate Red movie may be launched if Bloodshot is successful?
It's not. If anything, Deathmate Black is heating up.

Whhhhaaaaa???? What does it being a villain have to do with anything? For every great superhero I can name a great villain. Yin and Yang.
***1st appearance of Doomsday was great until the movie f&^%'d it up
The book is not even a month old and people are paying stupid prices for it. But that's the current speculator market we are in.....

The tour edition distinguishes from the rest because it's the only first appearance on the cover. Is that a big deal? I have no idea. But comic nerds make a big deal of "true first appearances"...in baby form, in the shadows, finger showing up in the last panel, etc.
For me personally, being a comic nerd, first appearance on the cover over overshadows the interior...so that's a big deal.
It's not a big deal, because it is a villain. But speculators will jump on anything that is deemed a "1st appearance"

You people do realize the Cosmic Ghost Rider was killed thousands of years in the future right? Marvel could publish his stories for 100 years and still have material to pull out of their butts
Stories that take place in the future NEVER mattered before.
Just look at all of the 2099 characters....and what their 1st appearances are going for.

Na, let me list a couple properties that did well for the most part in the market and then look at how the comics performed. Only the Big 2 last at this point.
Dark Matter (3 seasons and going)
Wynonna Earp (2 seasons)
The Strain (4 seasons, now tied to an Academy Award winner, too late?)
Happy (renewed for 2nd season with B list star)
Kick A**(2 major movies with A list actors)
Secret Service (2 major movies and going)
Hard pressed to get $50 for the first of all of those. Meanwhile the rumor of Nomad appearing brings $50 easy.
Dark Matter was cancelled after season 3.
