  1. It was a Minneapolis convention. Hilton?
  2. I just wanted to share this photo I posted on Instagram this week of when I got to meet Byrne in 1981. Fantastic Four 232 came out that week. I'm wearing the bootleg Wolverine shirt. Byrne had art with him for sale and I remember one was X- Men 139 the double page spread asking $150. And Avengers 188 page 7 for $80. He was sketching for $15 but no X-Men his sign said. I picked up one sketch, still have it and posted it Feb 2017 on my Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/comixculture/ Enjoy!
  3. Little Lulu by Mike Mignola. SDCC 1999, back when he had no lines at his table.
  4. So how would that have worked? Would a witness have to be next to Byrne while he signed a book?
  5. I think it's fine for Byrne to say how he wants to sign books. I got a few signed by him many years ago. I don't understand the need for authentication. Keeping them in mylar is good enough.
  6. I questioned that too. There is one room with all gold framed works. Many museums display impressionistic drawings in the same style but not sure if it fits here. Here are a few more pieces. Its a fun museum. You can even request an artist in their collection and they will bring it out for you to view in a special room they have.
  7. If you have a chance to visit Columbus Ohio you must visit the Billy Ireland Cartoon Museum. They have an amazing collection of comic art through the decades. Comic art is a serious art form.
