I can't seem to get it to show up in pictures (it is really faint, I am probably the only person that can see it). My hands were sweaty which is why I noticed the print right away but wiped it immediately. Hopefully it is as bad as it is going to get

Thanks. I knew it wasn't a super high grade when I bought it so no worries there, just wanted one that displays nicely. I just wanted to make sure it didn't continue to eat through ink until it had lifted all the color, but I figure if that was the case then all comics everywhere would have white fingerprints all over them...

Got a copy of ASM 300 for my personal collection, and in my excitement put a small fingerprint on the top of his head. I quickly wiped it with a cotton cloth (aka my t-shirt) and it got most of it but some is still there (and isn't going away). It doesn't break color or anything so I am fine with it as is. My questions is: Is the fingerprint as bad as it is going to get (was a couple days ago that I did it) or is it going to eventually just eat through Spider-Man's head like the acid blood from Aliens?

Forgot to quote you, but how does the New Mutants issue above look? I purchased it on Ebay yesterday. It seems to have some type of inner section as opposed to just 'floating' like the ASM issue.

Thanks for the info on the inner wells. I never knew any of that. I just purchased a New Mutants 87 9.6 and I think this one looks different from ASM (don't have it in hand yet). Can you tell me if this one is ok?

Thank you for the explanation. Now that I know it is just a printer error and not some dude drawing on Spidey's face I am more ok with it. For a bit I was just flabbergasted that it got a 9.2 with someone doodling on it

Ok I got it in today and the mark is bad. The seller does not accept refunds and doesn't remember seeing this. Would this really get a 9.2??

I purchased this CGC 9.2 graded ASM 300 the other day, and after the purchase I noticed there is a little mark on his right eye (yes I know I should have studied it more before-hand). If you scroll through the pics the mark looks a bit different in each picture (some it looks pink and others not, some it is harder to see). I contacted the seller and he doesn't even remember the mark being on the comic book, so I am wondering if it is on the case, especially since viewed from different angles it loses the color. I included a few pictures that the seller listed, and if you scroll through you can see the mark looks different in each picture (which leads me to believe it is a mark on the case). What does it look like to you guys? If that is an actual mark on his eye, could that even merit a CGC 9.2? (Also sorry if this is posted in the wrong place, it seemed like the best bet to me)
