    That's interesting! It seems that in general, Marvel did a lot more changing around of their cover art than DC did in that era.

    I have several of the very earliest Best of DC and DC Special Blue Ribbon issues -- all Newsstand copies. Not many after that, though I do have a sharp copy of the GL issue shown in this thread.

    I bought my newsstand copy new. I had been buying DCCP for several months, so even if the NTT were not in there I would have a copy as part of my run. As compared with lots of Marvels as far as first appearances, you would think that the Starfire/Cyborg/Raven intro could also generate interest.
