  1. kudos to spookley for a sweet slab and the handholding thru an 8 day "priority" delivery
  2. stick to noticing 9.4's and leave the dregs for us little guys. A 9.2 #24 is like a 9.4 of any other book. someone got a steal the last time this book appeared based on the price this go round. i was the unfortunate underbidder. i believe spookley bought it.

  4. given that there's only one 9.6 on the census, i would say 'no, it isn't going to be easy to obtain." And given that a 9.2 sold for $1400+ this year, i think you're looking at something like $6,000 for the 9.6. given the scarcity, that is probably on the low side.
  5. this seems to be happening more and more frequently. does the seller hope someone will be ignorant enough to throw out the min bid (50% of list) and catch a sucker that way? Plus, WTF is with the non-even $3,033 price? 1/2 the sign of the beast for the mathematically challenged

  7. Well, it looks to me like he has money coming in. but for those that got screwed
  8. Gorgeous copy. I wish I could still contribute to this thread, but someone bought all of my GLs, except for one. and that one remaining is a real stinker that should be kicked to the curb. i'll PM the address on the curb in front of my house.
  9. Not my fault CGC graded that a 9.0. Tough grading my azz. shut UP!!!! THAT was a slabbed 9.0??? I have no comeback for that  The Marvel Tales was a CGC 9.4 and everything else were CGC 9.0s. x-mas came very early.
  10. paging cal, report to the front desk. love the blue on the DD #84.
  11. a 9.2 w/ white pages and much better wrap just sold on WWcomics for $1250
  12. i'm not 100% certain, but if tim shows up i'm sure he'll be able to confirm if it's the same book. i remember that miswrap. there's your basis.
  13. isn't this the same book that "sold" in may clink auction for $2800?
  14. kudos to mr woogieman for a cool DC Comics for Sale sign- safely shipped x country.
  15. kudos to skynwalker and loboagain for VCC purchases w/ quick payment
  16. 41 has to be the most common JLA in 9.6, so it`s time it started selling for a more realistic price. There must have been a dozen (sometimes the same book) on sale in the past year. Plus this one was a bit miswrapped. yea, that book is common as dirt. everyone's got 9.4's for sale.
  17. i thought it was from the monkey's? would that still make it "somebody's" or change it to"something's?"
  18. agree, already 1/3 of the front page is taken up w/ stickied threads, don't need any additional non selling threads taking up prime real estate.
