  1. oh, snap- i just noticed they forgot to include that it's the Mass copy on the label- so to answer your question: "marnin." I bet they didn't give it the designation because of this: Why would that stop it? because i don't believe there were multiple copies of the Mass books. i think bob is correct and i was mistaken. Thought so. These are not the same book. no, they are most definitely not the same book.

  4. Wow! Congratulations. Imagine the crazy bidding a single highest graded copy like that might inspire at an auction! from your lips to at least two bidders ears
  5. when i was putting it away i thought the same thing to myself
  6. a couple just back from Sarasota. Thank you Michael Goldman
  7. bid 5x less shipping. the last copy sold for $1550 - didn't realize there were more than 2 GL collectors. looks like i was actually right about that. Well, the big dog GL collector already bought my copy of #11, so he was out of the competition. and lanier snagged the one on ebay (i'm pretty sure). that should've left - uh, no one.
  8. it seems like maybe there's a Juststopit.DoyouWANTastrike?-up in the JLA pricing as in the top 20 silver age it shows #1 going from $10k to $12k (pg 156) yet in the complete pricing list for the title is shows #1 at $10k (pg 682).

  10. the #28 was cut in half in top grade - wanted to see if i could get the blood racing in HK
  11. thanks bob. didn't have to change one number in my spreadsheet due to the 0.00% price adjustment in the new guide.
  12. Wow, wouldn't have picked you to be the winner after seeing the price! I got one of the cut-rate books, the #41. won a book the night before for way less than i was willing to pay- threw the "savings" at the #13. plus i've got a 9.2 that i bought well that i'll sell.
  13. there were just waaaaaaay too many JLA's in this auction for prices to hold firm. of course, somehow i managed to pay more than i wanted to for the #13.
  14. the immolation of an innocent child is "fun?" . remind me never to invite you to my house. kirkman wasn't going for fun and he says as much in the letters column.
  15. joker-fish sent the books- included 4x the # of books i bought as freebies. he's square in my book.
