  1. graders note's don't mention crease on bottom RFC but do mention one on BC
  2. paging tim- is this the copy that used to be a 9.2? Nope, this is a different copy. Nice little crease on the FC bottom right corner, and looks the bottom of the spine took some impact or something. I wish CGC had been this nice to me when they graded my copy. Still, a nice copy, as are many of the SA DCs in this auction. How come all the good books have come out after I've "retired" from SA DC collecting? i was thinking the same- looks like it could've gone 9.2 given the two obvious problems. rest of the book looks immaculate tho.
  3. i would have bid on the #42 if i hadn't just picked up a 9.4 i paid nearly the same amount for- oops. i was close on the #73 but not the #76. is it just me or do the books you bid on always seem to get more action than the ones you don't? i'd say silver DC were generally softish but not the books I was going after.
  4. kudos to: cal (IMSM's pal), buried alien, fanfourever and seank for quick payment on slaberinos.
  5. kudos to superman2006- may be a noob but he paid like a vet
  6. Of course, technically yours is the 2nd 9.2. I had the first 9.2, which became a 9.4 after Josh bought it on Heritage.
  7. Wow! That is a huge price, particularly considering the fugly miswrap on that copy. Beautiful #12!! I think this is a nicer copy. too lazy to check the census- how rare is this book in 9.4? know it was in a DC 3 pak- an early one mind you but those books are typically easier to find in grade. well, maybe not so much- only two of them and nothing higher. i guess that quasi explains the price.
  8. nice but you skipped over the book there's a bit of a mania for here- i think it's the #76.
  9. kudos to hellblazer for a slab that arrived quickly and was packed to survive the onslaught it endured.
  10. i've had this same discussion w/ myself recently after deciding a year ago not to bid on his auctions (not that you asked)
  11. kudos to nearmint for immediate pay on some slabinskis.
  12. does it really not say #1 anywhere? never noticed that before.
  13. kudos to rich henn for taking a slabinski off my hands.
  14. kudos to ffcomics for an invincible HC which arrived faster than a speeding bullet. kudos to johnenock for a sweet DC 100 pg slaberoo.
  15. I have no idea Mike Hopefully this is not a trend, otherwise I will never finish my JLA run Over the last 3 months, I've picked up a couple JLA's in the 60's in CGC 9.6 for $250-275---I thought I could pick some more up on the Clink auction for around $250-350----winning bids were in the $700's yes, those prices were mindboggling- it's not like these books don't come up in grade. who pays 2-3x gpa?? i suspect it's talk of the movie but maybe it's something else. The trend seems to be continuing. The 9.6 JLA 87 just sold on Heritage for $310, including the BP, which is almost 8X Guide. I don't follow the market for BA JLAs, but this seems like it must be a pretty strong price. if you consider "strong" 2.5x what the last one sold for in mid 06 or 4.5x what a 9.4 sold for in mid 07, then yes, "strong" is one word you could use. "nuts" is another.
  16. please explain the utter lunacy in the clink bidding. thanks
