  1. Not sure. Think I picked up 45,44 and a couple more as upgrades at the same time. #45 certainly wasn't advertised as a Green River when i bought it.

The 8.5 GR FF 45 that Brad outbid me on eBAY a couple years ago had the stamp in the same spot. That and the lack of tanning and the puffiness of the spine make it a prime candidate for a GREEN RIVER.....GOD BLESS...

p.s. The Green River collection was introduced in the early 90's by John Hauser.

That date stamp looks an awful lot like the one appearing on Green River pedigree books. We all know one GR copy of this ish sold recently for over $3K, and there are often multiple copies of certain issues in the collection.

Calling our resident GR expert Red Hook.... oh yeah, the mods..... well, I'm sure glad the boards are now safe for all of us to talk up comics... :makepoint:

Good eye....I think Brad said there were like 8 copies of the FF 45 in the GR collection.Very possible.GOD BLESS...

  3. Yup. Them's some primo funny books, sir.

I think there's room to grow for Fantastic Four #51 financially. That issue is frequently cited as the best single issue of the title; and the title is often cited as the best in comics' history.

Shoot. Now I'm thinking about upgrading my copy...

I always thought this one was WAY underpriced in the guide.A recent 9.2 sale at 14k seems to illustrate that. 9.2's have been turning over at 5 times guide for a while now.It would be difficult to find an 8.5 for 9.2 guide. It should be at least on equal footing with the # 11.GOD BLESS...

A reason to post mine again...love that book

NICE COLOR.That cover is so sharp when the color is all there. It's in my top 3 of the early issues...with 5 and16 being the others.GOD BLESS...

  4. Hi guys, 30 year collector of everything Marvel. Have all the Fantastic Fours except #1.

When I was 13 I picked up issue #50 at a second hand bookstore for 6 cents. Still remember the 'this is amazing' feeling as I read the issue. I was a Marvel zombie from that point on.

Welcome to ZombieVille (pop. 11060).I guess it was a FF 35 my Mom brought home from a school bazarre that sent me over the edge.GOD BLESS...

KNOCKOUT copy, Wow! I am jealous...

I work night shift and apparently this book was listed late Friday night and when I got home early Saturday morning it was still available with BIN.Someone had already put one bid on it but with those white pages (shrug) what's a B.I.N. Boy to do ?It wasn't cheap but that one is tough in grade.I doubt it would have been there past noon....I got lucky.GOD BLESS...

  6.

That's an EXCELLENT suggestion.and since no excellent suggestion should pass without an appropriate comment....All violators will be shot in the kneecap on their first offense. All second offenders will be encased in a full body slab and displayed at CGC headquarters.GOD BLESS...

  7. I just listed a couple of OAAW in the forum marketplace if you guys know any one who might be interested.I also saw a decent VG+ oaaw 83 on www.highgradecomics.com if you don't mind a fair amount of distributor overspray.GOD BLESS...

  8. Not me. I ain't asking for more.

I think it should vary by age and comic type but limit it to 1-2 threads...

If a seller has GA/SA/BA and slabbed and raw then you'd be talking 6 possible threads...there has to be a limit. More than two threads can get messy as you can have all the threads on the same page at the same time if they get bumped from page 2,3,4 etc by an :takeit: or a posted question.

    R.

    100% agreement

If you are listing thousand dollar or exceptionally HG books then perhaps a separate thread is justified form the one your listing your Nova run in would be acceptable. Other then that it's just an excuse to take up promo real estate.

Absolutely agree...I'd suggest starting no more than one per day, but 2 would be acceptable, NOT that you can't have a reason (whatever it is) for separate threads, but you should space them. I'd like seeing a limit to 2 or 3 a week.

If you start posting 3-4 threads a day and have that in the rules, it would actually allow someone to have 28 threads running in a week. I'm not sure anyone wants to see this place look like ebay during a sale week.

I've actually had threads bumped up that were a week old...(and not by me) it could really get messy with more and think of all the room for trolling.

I am looking at this as a buyer OR a seller...

Different forums for different ages would be nice.I post books in several categories and am trying to use only one thread..."ECCLECTIC BATCH OF GOODIES" which doesn't do much for specifics. One new feature I would like to see would be the ability to add a dated tag to the title when new additions are listed.I know I'll never have the rep some of these others have because I simply don't have the inventory, and it's the little guys like me who might benefit if someone could quickly differentiate between a post to old material and that of new additions. Are we allowed to have 3 threads...ecclectic GA....ecclectic SA, and ecclectic CGC for example?GOD BLESS...

  9. Sweet books I would love to get a Sid FF book.

I think he's still got the FF 3 a CGC 8.0 OW/W.Looks like some crumpling on the overhang is the only real problem.I'm really surprised that it hasn't sold.Talk about tough in grade. You should PM him.He may have some others.I got his 21 and it's a very sweet 9.0.GOD BLESS...

  10. That was my undercopy...it's gone now.Isold it and a few other books in a bid for the JIM 85...8.5 White in the last Clink Auction and still lost out.High grade Marvels with the circle price are tough to get a hold of.I wouldn't mind seeing the Syd's FF 13.It would be neat to see the only low grade copy of your run.Any of the original 35 still left?GOD BLESS...

(That's the great thing about being a SA Marvel collector with ASM, FF and JIM/THOR in that order my collecting preference...missed out on a couple of Spideys I was really coveting but picked up a couple of sweet FF to ease the sting... :headbang: )

A sweet 51 WITHOUT an impacted staple :cloud9: ...and a sharp 52 with the classic panel where Benjy is vomiting on the roof of the Baxter Building. That should ease the pain for at least a month.GOD BLESS...

  15. Because there are so many books I was thinking of posting the list in the market place and then scans could be made available as people showed interest.

    Is that a good idea?

You should PM the list to me first  for proofreading.GOD BLESS...
