  1. On golden age comics, I've seen rusty staples with very minor rust migration grade as high as 8.5 and so I figured this copy was so nice that it was at least 8.0. I changed my mind from submitting an 8.5 to submitting an 8.0 just as I was about to hit Submit Reply.
  2. @Funnybooks and @Croatbag, my tie breaker question is the following: What was the original grade of that DD168 book? Happy to privately send William my guess if that's what everyone wants to do...let's wait for @Croatbag to catch up on the thread
  3. Not surprising coming from Wolverine!!! I'm willing to suggest the corn on the cob challenge...
  4. as @Point Five noted earlier..this was a unique contest in that we had to project the grade after a C&P...from 2 pics with no further information..fun exercise but ultimately not truly a grading contest but more of a speculation contest. It was fun hanging with you guys
  5. I think @grendelbo and I may have had the same thoughts on the one book...be curious to hear what you have to say...we usually think along the same lines
  6. when we get to the point where we discuss what book tripped us up the most, I think I can explain away the one negative...the other negative....
  7. let the group decide? I also feel that @Croatbag was more consistent and happy to concede due to this observation
  8. yes...easily the....easiest book to grade...9.4/9.6 leaves very little room for interpretation
