I have to respectfully disagree. A claim is a claim, regardless of what transpires after the fact. I'm not looking to pile on but that is the proper etiquette.

This is sticky. I can understand your frustration. An outright "I'll take" it should be honored and not contingent on being able to negotiate other books along the way.

If a seller is willing to entertain offers and it's clearly stated in their sales post, they should be willing to entertain all offers with grace.
