Hello, I just got some gifts and this has prompted me to start or want to buy some CGC items off ebay. I am curious if anyone has any tips to look out for so I don't get ripped off. I know to go tot he verification right away, but are comics really cloned or duped that often? One I was looking at had me a little worried because the signatures were over one another just a bit, though I figure that would be chalked up to the artist or writer being in a bit of a rush or just tired of signing stuff all day. I know that if it is even remotely cracked or wedged thats a big no no. What else should I try to look for or be aware of?

Hello everyone, I just got some comics for present and entirely new to the graded comic thing. I have two in question that I believe may have been tampered with because of the way that they are graded and what I believe to be damage. The first one below is a 9.8 SS but when I looked closely I saw that the corners looked a little dinged up. Is it normal? Has anyone else seen or had this kind of experience? When I looked it up on the cgc verification it came back with all the proper details.
After reading up on some forums and watching some videos online. Though I'd still like to get a more experienced opinion from the community. I checked the corners of the slab and edges but I'm not seeing any cracks or cracking. The left center edge does look a little bubbly for some reason. And there appears to be dust particles along the top where the tag sits. The inner plastic that holds the comic itself looks rather glossy in certain areas like air may have gotten in.
Any tips for a newbie?

Another noob question, is there a way to see if anyone is in possession of a cgc comic book or if they have it in their collection, without having to scour through a whole bunch of names? Or would I need to check each individuals comic sets to see if they have it?
