That and the pink little farther up kinda look like some kind of ink.
I always thought it was production......but as you guys noticed and know........it's not on any other covers from what I've looked at.......I don't know what it is ...smooth to touch......it's odd because the yellow looks like same shade as the other yellow on the cover....and the pink.....no idea.....but it to looks like the same shade as the other red-like pink-like color on the cover........

Hey! So sorry I didn't catch this before others did. so yeah, you can basically tell them not to slab it if it doesn't reach a certain grade. It prolongs the grading process sometimes, but if you're like me and you really only slab to sell or if they're so high grade you don't want to mess them up, it's a great service.
Thanks.....that is great to know........I'm so green.................

Since no one else has responded to you in the past 3 days, here are CGC's prescreen details from the Services & Fees page:
Grade PreScreenOnly encapsulate comic books or magazines that reach your minimum grade. There is no minimum submission requirement to select Grade PreScreen. Tier fee OR $9 per reject
thank you

Update - the lovely folks at CGC added an 8.5 pre-screen to my order for me. So this one will likely be coming back raw and I won’t have to risk damaging it by cracking it. Thank you to everyone here for the insight and advice, and I’ll of course update here when it comes back or gets rejected during pre-screen.
Could you explain to me how this works ...I don't understand this.....You submitted the book with a pre-screen...telling CGC don't slab it if it's not at least a 8.5 ? ....If that is the case i suppose you still pay a certain amount for a pre-screen ? If so ...how is it determined how much you pay for a pre-screen ? If you don't mind me asking.......If you'd rather not get into it I understand.

We have multiple color breaking stress lines on the spine ...front and back...We have some corner wear....We have a couple of impact dents that go thru the book a little...1 In the Gold Key box....and one along the top edge in the middle....Creasing on the front and back.....Small tear on the back in the middle of the left edge.....The back bottom left corner has a folded over piece ...not a piece out.
P.S. Thanks for all thoughts and grades.

We have color breaking stress lines on the spine ...front and back.....There is a crease in the middle that runs the entire length of the book like it was a subscription crease ....I'm not sure if it is or not but part of it breaks color and it runs thru the entire book.....There is another one to the left of that one which also runs the entire length of the book along the spine area and it breaks color also.....The back also has creasing.
P.S. Thanks for all thoughts and grades.

It's quite odd .....now I bought these books out of an overstock box about two years after they came out but I don't know if someone didn't sell them back to the Comic Book Store Owner......I paid about 1.35 for the issue and I always thought I was the original and only owner but maybe someone sold them back for like 75 cents ( after he colored them ) and then the store owner marked them up to a 1.50
