I understand that sometimes portraying the hero in a weakened position is not ideal, but, I think it's case by case - there are plenty of such covers that I think prove to be exceptions to the rule (just off the top of my head, ASM #69 and SSOC #5).  I'd add this one to that exceptions list, as, IMO, the Frazetta homage and strong Belit in fighting action image cancels out any downside from bondage Conan (who looks quite defiant anyway).  But, obviously one's mileage may vary, diff'rent strokes for different folks, etc. 2c

yeah that ASM #69 is nice :)

So I was at a relatives bday party tonight but fully aware and ready for CL as I was waiting for 1 piece. As you cannot save or track an item, alarms were set, the phone was fully charged and I was logged in. I thought I had thought of everything and was ready. Despite the bday distraction I would not miss the page. Now I am driving home and its 1 min to game time. Its ok im off the highway and on a side street.  30 seconds. Yes red light, I can focus. 5 seconds left. Its only at $400. Wow. Let me bid $777, no wait $802 just to be safe. More than double. The CL skin flints never go double last second. OK yeah your right $809 just for that extra few bucks of protection. 4 seconds.... bid enter, yes click....

"please log in". you have been logged out due to inactivity! FML FCL!!!  I have been clicking and refreshing nonstop but their caveman website still logs you out. I know we all have horror stories. I thought I would share. To feel sorrow, loss and rage all at once.

Someone made out like a bandit. First panel page of Quasar - Hulk 234 - Sal B. Hammer price $426. I wonder if its one of the regulars and we will see it on flip of the day for $1500 tom.

Joe and Dan's show is March 18th.  http://comicartshowcase.com/comic-art-con.html

And to Mr. Harnett, the question is quite salient.  This kind of show is very different from a comic convention.  Here, the art world is very small.  The target audience of this show sounds like pretty much everyone who already attends Joe and Dan's show each year (and have been supporting it for years).  So the question is, why would I want to go to this show?  What is different/attractive about it?  Is it just going to be the same bunch of dealers and buyers that I will have seen 2 months prior, just this time in a nice hotel in NYC?  Whereas a comic show will have variety, be it different vendors, creators and signors, or even just inventory (as comic dealers change their inventory drastically depending on the show), a comic art show is much more static (only a handful of large dealers, not much changeover in pieces available, and the event is 5 days before Heritage Chicago, so many people will have money tied up/powder dry for the auction and not be looking to spend).

NYC Comic Art Expo = NOT FRESH!

Will Freshly Baked be exhibiting images of consignment art pieces previously sold at the expo?

Not a fan of any promoter (Terry) that doesn't promote show on his own site freshlybakedcollectibles.com yet uses search terms as click bait to promote show on CAF.

See you all at  http://comicartshowcase.com/comic-art-con.html  attending for over 10 years

To those attending NYC Comic art expo I hope the show is worth the trip.
