If you haven’t seen it before, check out Targets. Karloff tells a story in the middle of the movie that is mesmerizing. Great flick.

I thought this was just me. I got two slabs from a Comic Link auction. One was graded in September and the other in 2006. The 2006 one popped open no problem. But the one from September was a completely different story. As others have described, the entire case was sealed, and no matter how much I tried, I couldn't get any separation to wedge anything inside. I finally resorted to using a hammer (very carefully) on a corner.

Here’s my top 3 of the year - all ECs.
1. Haunt of Fear 15 (1) - This may be my favorite book in my collection. Absolutely love the cover.
2. Tales from the Crypt 20 (1) - The complete opposite of the Haunt of Fear. I hate this cover but, hey, it’s a TFTC 1.
3. Vault of Horror 13 - Recent addition. Another great Craig cover.

I was looking forward to this and it was a disappointment. It was disjointed and skipped around, spending less time on Napoleon and his exploits and more on his relationship with Josephine, which was a bit bizarre. Phoenix grunted more than he spoke actual lines. I also though the battles scenes, which are usually dynamic in a Scott movie, were less than thrilling. At well over two hours, I found this to be a bit of a slog.

highly recommend if you're a Godzilla fan you won't be disappointed
Couldn’t agree more. First time since before the pandemic that there was a full house in the theater. Folks cheered at the end. Easily the best Godzilla after the original.

Fed Ex is a big letdown. I dropped several books to CGC at the New York Comic Con in October. I was pleasantly surprised to see the books move through the pressing and grading process very quickly and the books were shipped back to me on 11/3.
On 11/6 they were supposedly returned to me at my apartment building in New Jersey. I saw the shipping online while I was at my job. I noticed a strange name signed for it (SSMITY). I have no idea who that is. I returned home in the evening and the books were nowhere to be found.
I called Fed Ex to report the package missing. They opened a case but then closed it on 11/8 stating that the package could not be found and I should contact the shipper reporting it lost. They were very matter of fact when I called them on the phone to complain. The bottom line is they don’t care!
On the other hand, CGC Customer Service were professional navigating me through the insurance process which will take 30-60 days. I’ll never use Fed Ex again. I’d much rather have my books!!
I had a similar experience with Fed Ex customer service. In my case, the book just never was delivered. Called customer service multiple times and they absolutely did not care at all. Told me to tell the seller to file a claim. I ended up driving to the shipping center and talking to someone there. Lo and behold, the next day the book mysteriously arrived. If you can find a local Fed Ex employee and talk to them, they may be able to help. But forget customer service.

MAD MAX: FURIOSA starring Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth (2024)

It was a great - definitely one you want to see on the big screen - though not on the level of Fury Road, which would be hard to top. I loved the Wasteland backstory and the old characters from Fury Road (including the Easter Egg to an especially important character). My one gripe is the same gripe I have with movies today - why are they so freaking long? This was almost 2 1/2 hours and really could have used an editor to chop off at least 1/2 hour. With the previews added in, you’re in the theater for 3 hours. I think that is one thing that drives folks away. All in all, this is worth checking out.
