I remember looking at this piece when Romitaman had it. It’s fantastic, and the framing turned out great!  I think the theory was it might have been done as a cover for a European book, but I was never able to find an image.

Thanks, I appreciate it.  Yes, that's what Romitaman said.  Wish I could track the book down.  It would be cool to have.

  2. Dark Harvest by Norman Partridge - I really enjoyed this as it was very reminiscent of the Lottery and the Long Walk.  Every year, in a small Midwestern town, the October Boy, a jack lantern atop a scarecrow’s body, rises from the cornfield to run a gauntlet of teenage boys.  There can be only one winner.  Either a boy kills the October Boy, or the October Boy kills them.  Cool premise and could have been better with a more skilled writer, but this is a great read for the Halloween season.  I think this is being made into a movie in the near future. Definitely check it out.

Those look weird. Looks like they are still calling them 100% acid free and archival. I guess safe to assume only if your book is on the white “coated” side?

Looks like they found a new cheaper supplier.

Was thinking about placing an order. As long as they still meet their quality standards and aren’t thinner.

I matched them up with older ones and they are the same thickness.  They don't seem as sturdy, however.

Those are butt-arse ugly........makes them look like cheap junk now.

WTF us wrong with companies these days?  It's like they're all trying to win the world record for dumbest idea.

Looking forward to the introduction of New Coke 2.

I totally agree. That’s why I thought it had to be a mistake. It makes my books look off. That said, I can live with it. But I can imagine that this will drive some collectors absolutely nuts.

Cabinet Of Curiosities is likely my favorite, but Relic was good and was even given the Silver Screen treatment. I'm glad some people benefited from my recommendation. GOD BLESS...

I started reading the series based on your recommendation in another thread.  The books are great.  I'm up through Crimson Shore now.
