  1. Are we bumping all the Friday threads because it's Friday...?
  2. Hola! So, there are a lot of chromium books out there, since the very first all-chromium book, X-O Manowar #0 came out in 1993. And we loved it. But, along with the chromiums came the variants...mostly either the "gold" kind, or the "rainbow holofoil kind." I'm compiling a list of chromium variants, but I might be missing a few. Anyone who can help with chromium variants, give a shout! This is JUST A LIST OF THE CHROMIUM ***VARIANTS***, not all the chromium books themselves. There were several chromiums (Gen 13 #1 Puzzle, Danger Girl #1 Chromium A-Go-Go, etc) that were, themselves, variants, and several chromium books that had no variants (like Generation X #1.) And these are JUST CHROMIUMS...the plastic stuff...not the cardboard stuff, like Ash #1 DF Holofoil. So, without further ado: Bloodshot #0 Gold Ninjak #1 Gold - rainbow holochrome interior X-O Manowar #0 Gold Psi-Lords #1 Gold Shadowman #0 Gold Avengelyne #1 - rainbow holochrome interior Avengelyne/Glory #1 Holochromium - rainbow holochrome interior Glory/Avengelyne #1 Holochromium - Rainbow holochrome interior Lady Death Between Heaven & Hell #1 Holochromium - rainbow holochrome interior Death of Vampirella #1 Holochromium (exists? Rainbow holochrome interior?) Vampirella/Shi #1 Holochromium - Rainbow holochrome interior Vampirella/Shi #1 Holoplaid - plaid rainbow holochrome interior Vampirella vs. NYX Holochromium - Rainbow holochrome interior Vampirella vs NYX Holoplaid - plaid rainbow holochrome interior Darkness #11 Holochromium - Rainbow holochrome interior Darkness #11 Holoplaid - plaid rainbow holochrome interior Prophet #1 Holochromium - Rainbow holochrome interior (exists?) X-Men Alpha Gold - Rainbow holochrome interior X-Men Omega Gold - Rainbow holochrome interior Did I miss any?
  3. Of course they do. But it's simple enough to blame them instead of taking responsibility. I won't be happy until they install a sneeze guard in the grading room. If I was Flee, I could make up a neat-o gif, but I'm not Flee. Nobody's Flee except Flee.
  4. Just a simple self check of "before I post this, does it add anything to the subject of the thread?" seems like too much to ask. Yes, it is, because, again, human being aren't robots. What you consider "adding", others may not, and vice versa. The best way to handle it, then, is to let people be free to post whatever they want, however they want, within the context of the rules, while you do the same. If someone's posts bother you, you have control over what you see, so there is no reason to complain about what others post. The only unfortunate part is that, despite requests stretching back a decade, there is still no "complete ignore", so people can choose to not have their posts visible to those they don't wish to see them. It will make life for everybody here much, much easier. I realize this is difficult for some people to accept...no snark, here...but more freedom, not less, makes life much better.
  5. Keyboard gangster I see. Why aren't comments moderated to the actual topic of the thread? Because human beings aren't robots. There are mechanisms in place to prevent you from seeing posts you don't wish to see. I recommend you use them, if "(hardly) off-topic posting" is going to upset you. Your choice, of course.
  6. Leaving feedback for buyers never accomplished anything but a sense of vengeance...justified or not (mostly not)...from sellers. You've never been able to leave feedback for buyers on Amazon, and rightly so: it doesn't mean anything, and accomplishes more harm than good. That said, yes, this tool absolutely ought to be outed and exposed.
  7. There's an awful lot of people wanting to see the Batcopter... :
  8. Thank you for sharing your opinion. I'm sure you respect the privilege of every member to post what they will, where they will, without criticism on that point, within the rules of this forum.
  9. That picture includes a couple of copies of my seminal work "You're Wrong About That."
  10. The answer to who cares is "the people who want a stable, long term healthy market." These crazy spikes, fueled by nothing more than people who are afraid, is not healthy. So, yes, I can make $500 on a book right now. And I have. It's hard to argue with people demanding you to take their money, and the market doesn't care one whit about my needs (nor should it.) But...when people get stuck "over"paying, it tends to drive those people out of the market, leading to a less stable market. "Serves them right!" - granted. No argument on that point. But...you never know how people are affected, and that person who started out as a speculator may develop an appreciation for the artform, given the chance. Granted, this is all hypothetical, but I think it's been fairly well demonstrated that chaotic markets don't tend to produce long term positive effects.
  11. I saw someone on Twitter complain that that's why Bruce Wayne was "SO" obsessed with fancy cars, implying he was "not well endowed" so he compensated in other ways. I thought that was a rather sexist, body-shaming, mean-spirited thing to say. I guess this person only has experience with mega-endowed porn stars...? I wanted to tell this person "pssst...it gets bigger.... "
  12. Im gonna buy a stack of both due to that price, but Im suspecting the price on ebay wont sustain with the print size on this. We'll see. They aren't available at DCBS. While it shows the issue, you cannot add any quantity to your cart.
  13. I'm surprised no one answered this from a year and a half ago. It means that the original grade of the book was preserved, and the new grade..."0.0"...is just a place holder. It is a way for CGC to track the submission without actually assigning the book a new label and serial number.
  14. No. Should it, Stu? And how would you know, never having engaged anyone in intellectually honest debate your whole life? Here's an easy refutation of your implication: message boards don't happen "in real time", therefore the "Gish Gallop" is not applicable.
  15. Saw this just now...totally fits this place. How many times have you seen the bottom three....? From anyone and everyone...? Now how many times do you see the top three...? Oh, and wood.
  16. Why did anyone think this was necessary...?
  17. It was even broken out in the OPG. That's how insane everyone was for McFarlane art in 1990.
  18. Yeah, I read MD up to issue #26 or so....its premise was really fascinating, but they didn't go anywhere with it. It was just a never ending parade of "let's see what weird creatures we can encounter THIS issue"...and, from reading the comments they (the creators) wrote in their letters section, I am not surprised in the slightest. Too bad.
  19. You don't exist - Poof! (but you will still reply to my every post.) Only if you mention me. There are literal years that have gone by where I haven't seen a word you've posted, because I didn't see any need to. Let's hope it sticks this time.
  20. I'm content to leave it up to the readers to determine who is, and who is not, credible at this point. My suggestion for you is to pretend like I don't exist, and I will happily, gladly do the same for you.
