  1. Like I said, a poll isn't fair, because I am who I am. Not complaining; it's my bed, and I made it. But the results aren't going to be as accurate as if it was between, say, Person X and Person Y.
  2. Or just a rule, period? "Spelling counts." I actually made it clear that spelling counts several times. If that's the case, then Ken gets it. Like I said...I noticed the typo instantly, and could have changed it, and no one would have been the wiser. I did not, because I didn't think it mattered and editing your answer is gauche. When you're playing against the clock, typos get made, but if precision is the answer, it should always be the answer, every time, for every answer. So, if someone posts "Neal Adams Batamn #232" and the next person posts "Neal Adams, Batman #232", it should go to the second person. And if someone posts "Neil Adams Batman #232", that's wrong, too.
  3. You went with the earlier answer, though both were changed. I could have, and did not, change my answer. The answer was clear, typo aside. Come on, now.... It doesn't matter to me. Do we need a poll? All I can say is, had the roles been reversed, I would have insisted it go to Ken. A poll would not be particularly fair.

  5. I'm not disparaging the Sixth Gun #1. However...someone paid $1,000 for a copy, and other, rarer, older books go wanting. That's a problem.
  6. Did you let one go for $175, RMA? You were being kind, I'm not sure I would let someone look at mine for $175! Well, maybe for a few seconds. There are so many stupid, ridiculous people in this stupid, ridiculous hobby. +1 That quote has lost its context, and it looks like my statement is now directly referring to CKB's comment, which isn't the case at all. If you're going to quote, please preserve context, or delete it entirely. You've made it look like I said something I didn't say.
  7. You are quite correct....in the beginning, for a while, EW #5 was "the more important" book to get in terms of Bloodshot. EW #4 was recognized, but it was passed over in favor of the "full" appearance. Rai #0 was important for all sorts of reasons aside from Bloodshot.
  8. I bought all these books the week they came out, week in and week out, for most of the "important" time period. I wonder what that makes me...?
  9. Damn skippy. And both answers in under a minute.
  10. I didn't know you were Canadian? I'm not. Californian, born and bred.
  11. Oh Canadaaaaa....my home and native land....
  12. Stupid lemmings. Average of 2-4 sales a day for months....then 39 sales in the last 6 hours. Stupid lemmings. And they say the market isn't going to crash... Buying 25 year old books isn't what crashed the market. Just ask the guy I bought a case of Superman 75 3rd prints from a few months back. No, buying 25 year old books wasn't what crashed the market. It was buying new books that did it. What will crash the market this time...? Buying those same books, which are now 25 years old.... It's the cirrrrrrcle of liiiiiffffffe.... The same thought went through my mind but I was too lazy and inarticulate to post it. Having said that, I hope the market never crashes again and book prices keep going up, at least for the duration of my life (which makes me think of Homer talking to God - "You'll find out when you die" - "Ahh, I can't wait that long." - "You can't wait six months?" - "No, tell me now.") I'd prefer to regret not buying a BA 12 9.8 when I had the chance than try to house my family in a pile of long boxes. Long boxes make awesome forts. Just make sure you put the new ones on the bottom. You don't want to be killed by a box-a-lanche. ( The stupid board code kept changing the "lanche" to "lance", no matter how many times I fixed it. Stupid over-nannied board code. )

  14. Did you let one go for $175, RMA? You were being kind, I'm not sure I would let someone look at mine for $175! Well, maybe for a few seconds. It was a fair price. The last one sold last August for $41. I truly don't understand why people can't be bothered. If I had known, it wouldn't have sold for $41, but I'm just one guy, and I can't buy everything...but why people let one of the rarest pre-unitys in 9.8 sell for $41, but then pay $1,000 for a Sixth Gun #1, I'll never know. There are so many stupid, ridiculous people in this stupid, ridiculous hobby.
  15. Nice touch, covering up the UPC so it can't be looked up by code...
