  1. Greedy bastich! You should offload one to me to make yourself feel less greddy. Your collection shames mine.
  2. Thanks. I clearly don't have the "who are you replying to" function worked out....hmmmm....
  3. There are 13 of those on the census...I've submitted 4 of them.
  4. Here's a couple: My earliest 9.8 I've submitted. My first self-submitted 10.
  5. It's so nice to see books like this. By the time I STARTED collecting, these books were long gone out of the marketplace. I didn't think a NM silver age book even EXISTED, much less what would end up as a 9.8. It's so nice to see them come back into the light.
  6. Nah, I was just kidding. I'm just jealous cause I don't have one. Actually, I'm just too cheap to pay for one.
  7. Why not? We're not snobs, like those guys over in the AF #15 Club. Any printing will do....
  8. Yeah, that's what my friends have been saying for years.
  9. Well, hey...if Spawn #1 can have one.... I bought this off of eBay in early 1999. Final bid price was $61. With S&H, it was $66. I had been looking to buy a copy for yearrrrrrs. My high bid was $125. It is a solid 9.2/9.4 candidate.
  10. (These were from the 15 copies I bought brand spankin' new in December of 1990. Sent 8 copies at 9.8 pre-screen, got back 7. ) More coming....
  11. That 9.9 has been on the census for quite some time....years, if I recall.
  12. ?? Is this thread for DC war books only? It doesn't say so in the subject line. Someone correct me if non-DC books don't belong here. Jack Not at all. I just loves me some DC War. Nothing else was implied, nor should be inferred. That is all.
  13. How many copies of Spawn #1 do you have to have before you can join the club...?
  14. I love how Cleopatra...a Greek ruler of Egypt from the time of Ceasar...is wearing a tank top, a modest skirt and sensible 50's flats, had hair done by Carrot Top, and looks like she's about to play drums in a rock band. Whoever drew that cover clearly failed their history courses and was using Harriet Nelson as a model.
  15. Well....I looked at all 35 issues of the run, and I'll post the questionable covers here, and see what we can find consensus on: SD #23: Partial...? Dane Dalton's hair, bottom right..? It's hard to tell for me. SD #27: This doesn't look greytone to me (sorry for the small pic, it was the biggest I could find.) SD #28:
