  1. Awesome collection! It's always fun to check out other people's collections. You've got some fantastic books
  2. Agreed. I don't generally post about unpleasant buying experiences, as I prefer to deal with these issues privately. But the CC/Metropolis raw sales are so bad that I thought I would comment in the hopes that someone else could avoid this situation--or at least understand the risk involved and factor that risk into the price.
  3. I purchased three raw Planet Comics from Metropolis about 1.5 years ago. One came back from CGC with undisclosed restoration, one came back five (yes, 5) full grades lower due to brittle pages, and the other was within a half a grade. To be fair, they did allow me to return the restored book. In any event, I also will no longer buy raw comics from CC or Metropolis. I understand that reasonable people can disagree about grading, but the books you posted are overgraded.
  4. The colors on that book are incredible. I admit, looking at your posted books changed my collecting philosophy for Planets. All of your Planets are just drop dead gorgeous.
  5. That was a great pick up. I'm glad that book is going to a good home. Congrats!
  6. You aren't mis-remembering. The supply of Planets is pretty limited right now. And the few nice books that have become available don't come cheap.
  7. That's a beautiful book. I tried to buy it, but you beat me to the punch. Congrats
  8. I received these awesome gifts from Francisco, which included a some Hawaiian goodies. I've never received a Mele Kalikimaka card, so that was fun, too. I'm especially looking forward to reading the Marvel Masterworks, as I'm new to collecting GA books and have never read these stories. Sorry for the delay in posting, but the presents were shipped to my office and I've been on vacation since Christmas Day. I finally went in today to get ready for Monday and had the pleasure of opening Francisco's package. Your wrapping job put mine to shame. Thanks so much!!! By the way, does anyone happen to know Francisco's board name? Regards, Tim Weaver
  9. I'm glad you enjoyed the gifts. I'm a relative newbie when it comes to comics, and this is the first time I've participated in this event. It was a little stressful but a lot of fun picking out your presents. I'm already looking forward to next year. Merry Christmas!
